New Coats

These are the new coats the girls received for their birthday. They had a ball trying them on and playing in them. I am back to the doctor with Presley tomorrow. Her left eye is red, watery and goopy (Is that a word). I want to make sure it is not pink eye or something else. The weekend is coming and I don't want her to be bothered with her eye. We stayed in today because we were tired from yesterday. It was a much needed rest day today. I just love to sit and watch them play. They are just so cute right now. I love this age. Presley is my little lover and Brooke is a little character. I have to watch Brooke with Presley because she plays rough and doesn't realize it yet. Poor Presley is a little sensitive. I better get busy getting my stuff done. Goodnight!

My Sweet P

My Sweet P is walking. She will take 5-7 steps and then fall and get right back up again and fall again and get right back up. She will get so mad when she falls. I think she will catch on faster than Brooke did because she is so determined to walk. She gets so excited when she does walk and she will have the biggest smile on her face. I had to post these photos of the girls and I because I am never in the pictures because I am always taking them. I love the smile on Brooke, those are hard to get of her. My two little blessings.

I am so tired. We got the girls 1 year pics taken today. They were so cute and I think we got some great ones. We ate lunch and went to Southlake Town Square and were gone all day. Oh boy, I paid for it later in the evening. Brookie was Fussy! That girl needs her sleep. She did nap but not as long and of course it wasn't in her bed. I don't do this often but it was such a pretty day. Thank goodness for my help from my MIL. She was a life saver today. I was looking for matching pajamas. I want that to be a new tradition every year that we all look similar on Christmas morning. Well, I need to take a shower and get my butt in bed. Every day is busy with 1 year old twins but of course I cherish every minute with them. Goodnight.

More Thanksgiving Pictures

My little Brookie wouldn't leave the tablecloth alone. Presley was in on it also, you can't see her because the tablecloth is covering her. Daddy and Presleyso Cuutteeee! They are both daddy's little girls.
The last two pictures are them opening up Aunt Dottie and Uncle David's birthday gifts. They bought them the cutest coats, pants, and scarves. I will post some photos of the girls in their new coats hopefully tomorrow.
We are going for their one year pictures tomorrow. I can't wait to see how much they have changed since the last photos. Probably a little bigger and more hair.
We had their one year well visit today and Brooke weighs 22'10 and Presley weighs 21'6. It was hard because I went by myself to the doctor today. Whew! undressing and dressing two 1 year olds was tiring. But everything is going well with the both of them. We are officially off of formula, Yahoo! I think we just got a raise. Daddy says we will spend it clothing them now. He's right, with two girls it is so hard. You have to by outfits plus accessories, oh and don't forget SHOES. They will be just like their mommy with shoes. Well I must get to bed. I have to have myself and two babies ready by 9:30. I will be busy busy in the morning. Good thing I won't be in the pictures because I will be sweating trying to accomplish everything by myself. Goodnight!

Fun For A Little While

The girls were playing so well together on this day until Brooke took over the toy and made Presley cry. Presley has been taking a couple of steps but still not walking. She is taking her sweet little time which is fine by me. My post are much shorter now because I am tired, the girls wear me out lately. I haven't even been in my craft room in a long time. I am having stamping withdrawals. Gotta go before October Road comes on (my new favorite show). Happy Day!

Presents

Okay here are some pictures opening presents. They were the cutest, they tore into those packages like they knew what to do. I can't wait for Christmas.

Eat Cake

Here are more of the birthday pictures I promised to post. The girls were so cute with their cakes. Presley's was demolished and ended up on Brooke's side. I think Brooke ended up eating more of the cake than Presley but Brooke didn't like the icing. It was really sweet and they are not use to sweets. But they bothe did really great with their cake eating.

Our Family

One more post for the day. This was the best we could do for a family picture. Presley was getting fussy and was wanting down. It will have to do for now.

Thanksgiving Day

I have tried to post more birthday pics but for some reason blogger kept giving me errors. I will post more next week. I don't understand it because my file sizes are all about the same and sometimes it will take the pics and sometimes it won't. So I am so sorry for those of you who are wating for the birthday pictures.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
The girls were wearing Papaw's cowboy hat and they were too cute! Once again they were so good and did well with all of the people. They are 1 year old now. Wow! I definitely did some reflecting yesterday and realized how lucky and thankful I am to have these little jewels. They are napping now so I must make this post short so I can get some things done.

Birthday Party

Whew! I am tired. I just finished sweeping and mopping the kitchen. I can't go to bed with a dirty kitchen. Brooke and Presley made a mess with their cakes. They were adorable. They didn't eat much of the cake but they played in it. I will post those pictures at a later date. I just loved these little dresses they had "Party" written all over them, when I saw them in the store. I had to dress them alike because they didn't have coordinating dresses. They both had bows but Presley wouldn't leave hers on. Christmas will be a blast this year because they were all over the packages tearing the paper and climbing on the boxes. It was so neat to see them so excited. Over the next week I will post pictures from the party. I took a picture of Brooke, Presley, Clay and Josh and man was it hard to get four toddlers to look at me. The one picture of them looking at me was the only one among many taken. Clay and Josh are two and so cute. (Hmm! Future husbands) I must get myself to bed it is late. Enjoy the pictures and have a great week.

So Happy

Well, Brooke is walking everywhere now. I guess I can officially say, "She is walking."
I put them in the same bed the other night and they were just so adorable. Presley was so happy she kept laughing. Brooke was walking in her bed. It is still so hard to get good pictures of Brooke because she always closes her eyes (just like her daddy). I can take five pictures in a row and in everyone she will have her eyes closed or be making an ugly face. I usually delete those pictures because she would kill me when she gets older if she saw them. I am counting the days until my little babies turn one. This time last year I was sooooo miserable. But I would go through it all again to have these two wonderful girls.

Sweeties

Here are a few photos of the girls. Brooke loves making this face.
She is walking a lot as of tonight. She will be standing and then take off walking. Presley is standing more and she loves to stand. When she falls she gets right back up and will do that over and over. She will get mad if she can't stay up. She has a lot of determination. She doesn't give up.
I had my first really bad day today. Brooke is teething and she could not be consoled. She cried and cried. I finally found if I stood and held her she was some what okay. Then Presley would start crying. Whew! It was a very tiring day. I gave her some Motrin and she was better as soon as the medicine kicked in. She is really hard to calm down.
I hope I don't have too many of those days. I hope tomorrow is better. I will give her Motrin early in the day.

One Week

It is exactly one week and my little girls will be 1. Here is the invitation I sent out.
We are having a family birthday but I will be sure to post some pictures.

Outside Play

Today was so nice we took the girls outside as daddy did yard work. Of course it didn't last long before they were both crawling everywhere and eating leaves, yummy. Brooke doing Pat a Cake and Presley playing with her ball. They are not feeling the best today poor Presley is so hoarse. They both woke up from their nap so whiny. They usually wake in such a good mood. I loaded them with Tylenol and hopefully that will work. I love the weather but I am running out of short sleeve stuff for the girls to wear. They have grown out of most of it. I am ready for some cold weather.

She's Standing

Miss Presley is standing. She is the cutest, she will stand and I will say, "Look at you" and she will smile her big smile. Those eyes light up and she thinks she is a big girl standing all by herself. She also loves to play Pat a Cake as you can see in the photo. I think Presley is doing away with her morning nap. She didn't have one this morning before Gymboree (maybe 5 minutes in the car). It takes her so long to fall asleep that by the time we arrive at our destination she has just gone to sleep. No kidding. I thought for sure she would be fussy at Gymboree but no she was her happy self today. We moved up to level 3 in Gymboree and I think they are going to like it much better because we have children in that class that are walking. We moved up with two other people so they would have some kids they knew from level 2. You are not going to believe this but as I am writing this post I have had to go tend to the girls twice because they were crying. I think they are sick AGAIN. Presley was starting to lose her voice this evening. Man, they have been sick a lot. I asked the doctor last time they were in and he said a child can be sick at least 7 times their first year. I am sure we are very close to number 6 if not 7 times of being sick. I am ready for them to be well for at least a month. The longest has been 2 weeks. I'm not even going to begin to guess what it is but if they are not better by Monday back to the doctor for us. They do have a slight fever but they are also teething. Hmmmm! I should by stock in Motrin or Tylenol. I hope you have enjoyed my precious angels and my babbling for the night. Goodnight!

She's Walking

Well Brooke is taking more steps at a time. All day today she would stand up on her own and take 7 to 10 steps at a time. I thought I was going to have to recant my statement about her walking before her birthday but I think she really will be walking on her birthday. Just look at her she did this all day long. She is so adorable. She would get so excited and fall down, I think that was my fault half the time because I would get just as excited for her and she would lose her balance because she would look at me and laugh. She is my little Miss Independence. We went to Gymboree this morning and she just wanted to do her own thing for awhile. I would try to get her involved and she would arch her back and crawl off on her own. I just followed her until she was ready to be social. She is definitely dominant of the two. I am so ready for them to walk. I know you think I'm crazy (and I might be) but it will be easier in some ways because they will be able to walk instead of me carry them. They are getting heavy. I think I will save my back bending over so much. You all are thinking they are going to get into more stuff. I am ready, the house is baby proofed and I am ready to take them on. But when you have to lift two 20 pound babies all day it is rather tiring. Have a great Sunday.

Into Everything

I am trying to be better about posting. My friends mother had a heart attack yesterday. Things looked very grim but she has made it through and looks like she is on the road to recovery. It was truly a miracle. Thank you God!
The girls are still just as cute as ever. Brooke loves to play with anything that isn't a toy. She loves playing with boxes. She still isn't walking. Presley is starting to stand by herself but not for very long. They know 'Pat A Cake.' When I start singing the song they start clapping. It is so adorable. We were playing today and they were both laughing so hard. It was such a precious moment. My favorite thing is to hear my children laugh. It brings pure joy to my heart. I am so belssed to have to health and happy babies. I guess after being at the hospital yesterday I am feeling a little sentimental. Have a great rest of the week!

Eating Cheerios

I know I haven't posted since Halloween but it really is hard to find time to post. The girls are so much fun right now and really keep me busy. So I apologize for those of you who check my blog on a daily basis.
Brooke and Presley love to eat cheerios. I usually put some in a bowl and Brooke will pull it into her lap. Presley likes to hoard them in her hands. They are eating regular food now and it is much easier to feed them except trying to think of different things to feed them that are healthy
and that they can eat. Bring on the teeth so they can chew. I sent out the invitations to their birthday today and decided I will have a family birthday. I think this will always be an issue since their birthday is on Thanksgiving or will be close to the day. I still can't believe they are going to be 1. Brooke has taken a couple of steps but is still not walking. She better hurry if she is going to be walking by her birthday. Presley has been standing alone but not as long as Brooke. Gotta go to call and order a cake for the Party.
