Birthday Cake for Mimi

I baked a cake for Mimi's birthday and the girls decorated it. They were so cute watching them get so excited. They did really good with the sprinkles and the little decorations I made until they realized they could eat the icing and that is was really good. Their little fingers were all in the cake. I tried to gete a picture of Mimi but she didn't want her picture made that day. The girls loved the strawberry cake.
I have been so busy. The Divine Consign sale ends today at noon and I have done really well. I am so glad it is over and can get back to my regular posting.
Presley came to me and told me she was poopie. I quickly went to get a diaper. She likes to set up a little so she can see what I am doing which makes it rather hard to change her diaper. She sat up one last time and said, "hi poopie" I just cracked up and of course she said it again because I laughed at her. She is so funny at times.
We got the girls twin beds and set them up this weekend so they are sleeping in big girl beds now. They look so little in them compared to their toddler beds. I wanted to wait for the summer but they have not been sleeping well and am hoping they will stay in their beds being that they have a more comfortable bed. Cross your fingers and pray that they will continue to sleep in their beds. Brooke has been sleeping through the night both nights but Presley on the other hand only did it for one night. She isn't a good sleeper. What happen to my good sleepers? I will post pictures of their new room when the room is finished. Their dresser won't be here for six more weeks. I will need to move things around on their wall.
I have lost my voice and not feeling well, it started on Sat. I guess it was a good thing I didn't get to go to the retreat this weekend because I wouldn't have been able to be my fun self since I can't talk. Although I'm sure everyone at the retreat would have been glad because I wouldn't have been so loud. I am still sad I missed it but will be ready for the next one.
Have a great week!

Valentines Day Cards

A quick post to show the Valentine's Day cards the girls colored for their class and the teacher gifts I made. They really had a fun time coloring all their pictures.I gave them different shades of pink and red pencils to use, so they were able to choose the colors they wanted. They really did a great job. I had to make 40 cards because they have 2 parties one on Thursday and one on Friday so all the kids can participate.
Have a wonderful week.

My Boots

I have been so busy with making the girls valentine cards and other creative projects. I will post some later if I can remeber to take a picture before I give them away. I have also had a few trainings and have kept busy with the Divine Consign Sale which is next weekend. I will be glad when it is over because I have everything in piles in my craft room. It is absolutely driving me crazy.
I took this picture the other day of the girls, I was getting ready and Presley was playing in my closet. I looked up and she was wearing my boots and of course I ran to get my camera. Can you say "adorable." I then finished getting ready and then Brooke put them on and I just couldn't resist. I think these will be my favorite photos for a long time. Aren't they the cutest!
I also started BSF(Bible Study Fellowship) this week and I know I am going to enjoy it as well as grow in my relationship with God. I have been wanting to learn more about the Bible for a long time. I am really excited and I hope to benefit tremendously from this study. The girls had so much fun in their class. I look forward to them growing and learning the word of God as well.
Have a great weekend!

Stock Show

We went to the stock show last Saturday. I will post more pictures because I took a ton. The girls loved seeing all the animals. Brooke really loved the bunnies and man were there some huge rabbits. Presley liked all the animals. We took them to the rides and they loved it. The motorcycle ride worried daddy a little bit but they did great. We rode a Ladybug ride and Presley really had a ball. I think she had a permanent smile on her face. Alec and Beebee went with us and we ran into the Mathis family as well. It was a fun but tiring day. The girls fell asleep in the car on the way home. Gary and I went back to the stock show that evening with friends and then went to dinner with a group of people. It was great to get out with my husband and to see friends. I better get to bed because I have a training tomorrow. Goodnight!

Western Week

Last week was Western Week at school. We bought the girls cowboy boots and button snap shirts (we already had the hats). I would try the boots on several times and the girls would leave them on for a brief moment and then kick them off.(as you can see from the picture) Brooke especially didn't like them. She would say, "no mommy". So I made the executive decision to take the boots back and just let them wear their tennis shoes. I just didn't want to spend the money for one day if they weren't going to wear them any other time. I really wanted them to like them because I so wanted to put those boots with denim skirts when it got warmer. I really wanted a bright pink boot instead of a pale pink so I guess it all worked out for the best.
The girls had a little rodeo at their school and had stick horse races and sang a song. They were so cute. Presley did better with the song and Brooke did better with the race. I took my video camera and got some cute video. When I left and got in my car I just had to watch the video and it was cute but my videoing needs some work. I would forget to turn it of some of the time because I would grab my camera to take a picture. As I was sitting in the car I stated watching videos when the girls were babies and when they started walking. It really made me kind of sad and glad at the same time. Sad that I no longer have babies and glad that they are getting easier.
It was a bittersweet moment. It was a fun time for me. Brooke and Presley mommy loves you very much.

Baby Loves Disco

We took the girls to "Baby Loves Disco" last Saturday. They got their faces painted, played with bubbles, danced, had snacks, saw Clay and Josh, played with scarves and hoola hoops, and just had some good old clean fun. It took Brooke a little while to warm up as it always does but once she was warmed up she was rocking. Gary and Presley were able to go this time. Gary was out of town and Presley was sick last time. She really enjoyed herself. There wasn't as many people this time but it was still fun. The girls were pooped out on the way home. I truly enjoy seeing them experience things and grow as little girls.
