Forgotten Photos

I forgot to post these photos of the girls Mother's Day Gifts they made at school. Mrs. Kari took pictures of them making the gifts and lamenated it for the moms. It was such a great gift. Miss Presley got a little heavy handed and had to use both hands to put her potting soil in the pot. Mrs Kari was a little worried that the seeds wouldn't sprout but as you can see it did. The pots have their little fingerprints with the shapes of ladybugs and bees. Such a cute gift and the girls really enjoyed watching the plant sprout and come to life. The seeds were bird seed so the plant didn't last very long but what a cute idea.
The card is the baby shower invitation I made for my sister-in-law Dottie. I thought it turned out really cute.
The other item is someting I made in one of Cre8joy's workshops. I am hanging this in the girls room and it looks adorable. It is a large cabinet door, pretty cool!
We are going to the zoo tomorrow so I must be off to bed.

The Texas Cartel

We went to see The Texas Cartel on Friday night play at the grand opening of Redbarn Barbeque. in North Richland Hills. The girls had fun dancing to the music. They were a handful but it was worth it to see them have so much fun. Presley was so excited because she realized she learned to jump off of the stage. Mind you she is my cautious one and would usually step off instead of jump. She did it over and over until we decied it was time to leave. She did the same thing when she started walking she would fall down and get up over and over until it made her mad that she couldn't stand up very long. That child is so determined. Brooke loves Max and if he is out of her sight she will ask me where Max went. She also had a bout of stardom as she played the bass guitar. She absolutely loved being on the stage. Oh no, I think I am in trouble. We also saw Clay and Josh and as soon as Brooke saw Josh she gave him two big hugs. She loves to hug people but only on her terms and when she wants to do it. She is such a little lover. It was good to see everyone and so enjoyed watching my children soak up the fun times with friends.
Thanks to The Texas Cartel for another fun evening.

Graduation Party

We went to a Graduation Party last weekend. Tammy, my best friend from Jr. High School, her son is graduating. I can't believe he is that old. We have stayed friends all these years. We met by sharing track shoes in the seventh grade. I have always had a special place in my heart for her and her family. They are such sweet souls. They are the ones that kept me in the right direction and introduced me to God. I remember when we use to have mini church services in their living room with a few other families. Those were simpler times and the love for God was everywhere. Thank you both Tammy and Sylvia for loving me. I appreciate the both of you.
The girls had so much fun at her house. They saw chickens and even brought in some eggs from the chickens. They both made it all the way to the house with their eggs but Presley handed it to Tammy and the egg dropped and broke. I felt so sorry for her. They especially loved riding on the golf cart. Brooke didn't want to leave she kept wanting to go for another ride on the golf cart. They probably rode 5 or 6 times. They were so good and it was great to see everyone. Thanks for a fun day and Tammy I absolutely love your house. It is beautiful. It makes me want to move to the country. I witnessed the girls and how they would be if we lived on a little bit of land. They were just precious as they explored everything.

Mrs. Kari

Well, this is the last week of school and this will be Mrs Kari's last year because she is retiring. She is an amazing teacher and the girls absolutely love her. But the good news is we will still see her because she lives in our neighborhood. She has such a way with children.
These pictures were taken by Mason's daddy Gavin, he is a professional photographer. I cannot take credit for these pictures. Although it makes me want to take better pictures. I have been reading photo blogs and websites and am on a mission to learn more about my camera and to understand photography more. I also need to learn more about Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Today was the last day of BSF but I was unable to attend because they had no childcare and I didn't have a babysitter. We ended up meeting Brenda and Aleck at the zoo. It was such a beautiful day to be outside. The girls really enjoyed themselves. Sorry, no pictures because I didn't want to take my camera today. The girls fell asleep in the stroller on the way out and slept the whole way home. They also went to bed so easy tonight. I must have wore their little bodies out today.
The girls have really taken off with their language and sentences in the last couple of weeks. It is so sweet to listen to them have conversations with each other. I catch myself laughing at them all the time while they are playing. They say the darnedest things. I had someone tell me this weekend that when your children are babies you just want to eat them up and when they are teenagers you wished you would have eaten them up. I'm sure it is so true but at this stage in my life I can't imagine thinking that about my sweet little girls. I will probably eat these words some day. I cherish these moments because I know they will be grown before I know it. I love you Brookie and Presley.

Helping Daddy

Gary did some planting last week and the girls were such big helpers. They did make more of a mess than he had planned but I think he really enjoyed the daddy, daughter time. It is so sweet to see these pictures and the fun they had with their daddy. Gary is such a great daddy and he loves those girls very much. Thank you honey for being such a great father. I love you.

My Mother's Day

I am one lucky mother.
Thank You God.
We had a great mother's day until about 7:00pm. Brooke and Presley were playing on their see saw having a great time. They got off and then got back on and started rocking again and all of a sudden the darn thing tipped over. I didn't realize that Presley was in the middle and Brooke was on the end. I have gotten on to them for that because it will tip if that is the case. Presley landed on top of Brooke and they both started to cry. It wasn't a bad fall but I think it scared the sweet girls. Presley said her arm hurt. We made her move her wrist and fingers and she did but she wouldn't raise her arm. If we touched certain areas she would cry. So we decided to make a trip to Cook's Childrens. I took Presley and Gary stayed home with Brooke. We arrived and let me tell you they were busy. We got back fairly quick because she needed to be xrayed. The doctor viewed the xrays and said nothing was broken. He examined Presley again and said he thought it was "Nurse Maids Elbow." which means a ligament came out of place and wasn't covering the elbow. The doctor told me he was going to put it back in and she would probably cry. He did and she did cry but not for long because the doctor came back with a popsicle and she raised her arm to grab the popsicle. Yahoo! She was healed and we could go home. I was so proud of Presley because she did very well and she was so polite. She told the doctor, "Thank You" for the popsicle and she even told the xray technician, "Thank You" for the stickers she received after her xrays. I express those words often but you wonder if they get it but now I know because I heard it with my own ears and it makes me proud. We arrived home about 11:30 and I decided to keep her home the next day from school becuase I knew she would be tired. We had a mommy and Presley day. It was really special to spend one on one time with my little Sweet P. She sure is a little talker.
Presley mommy loves you very much and you are such a special little girl.

Southlake Art In The Square

Well it has been a whirl wind since we got back from New Orleans. I got sick and was running fever and man did it wipe me out for a day. I forgot how having fever makes you want to sleep all day. I felt better the next day but was still weak. I am glad I am feeling better.
I have been spending all my time doing baby shower invites for my SIL Dottie. They really needed to be out last week so I was stressing to get them done and then I was sick. Ugh! I seem to procrastinate and I have learned my lesson to get things finished early in case something happens, especially now that I have children because I can't spend all my time on something like I use to.
These pictures are from Art in the Square we only had about 2 hours to enjoy the fun because they closed at 6:00pm on Sun. We let the girls jump in the bounce houses and got their faces painted. Presley's little lady bug was cute but Brooke got a flower and it didn't really look like a flower. I was so glad she was young enough to not notice. We met other friends later and listened to a band and eventually went to eat with the group of friends. It was a fun Sunday and the girls really enjoyed themselves.
I want to wish all you mother's a very Happy Mother's Day. Man, sometimes I can't believe I am a mother and it is a job I wouldn't trade for anything at least today anyway. No seriously I am so thankful for my little Queen B and my Sweet P. Mommy loves you both very much.
I am going to try to get caught up on post this week.
