4th Of July Parade

The girls had a Fourth of July Parade at school today. They were so adorable. Brooke has become really shy and Presley wore a permanent smile on her face. They were so funny when they started walking they grabbed other kids hands instead of each others. Brooke held Dylan's hand and Presley held Kiley's hand. Brooke likes to play with boys. She will follow them around and watch them. They wore hats and had flags to wave. They both loved the flags. The group picture was so funny because it was hard to get them to all look at you or to even smile. All of the kids were so mesmerized by all the commotion. You could really tell they were still so young to really enjoy themselves. We went into the gym and they had games set up and even had face painting. I will post those pics tomorrow. The carnival was put on by the older kids. It was really so sweet to see the effort they put into everything. Brooke and Presley didn't know what to think. But they were still so darn cute!

What's Up

I love the pics of the girls with daddy's hat. This may be premature but I think they are going to look good in hats. I don't think I am a hat person. I will wear them sometimes but some people are hat people and some aren't. I must be a little prejudice. Do you think? The pic of Brooke with her lips out is so funny, when she says "no" her lips are out like that and the way she says it just makes me laugh. I should have cropped that picture so you could see it better. Sorry, sometimes I am lazy and don't feel like cropping all my photos.
The pic with the girls laying on the floor, they are laying on their changing pad. Brooke loves to get it out and lay down on it. Presley joined her on this particular day and she was not happy. She wanted it all to herself. They are starting to push and hit each other when things don't go their way. In my book that is a no no!
We have had an uneventful weekend. Gary isnt't feeling well and my allergies are really bothering me. But you know mommies still have to do their job. Presley has been waking up which is so not like Presley. She is my good sleeper. Thursday, she woke up at 4:20AM and never went back to sleep. Last night she was up at 11:30 and was up til 1:00AM, then she was up at 6:30 AM I think she must be teething. But I am so ready for her to get back to normal. If it's not one it's the other. I wish they would get on the same page. It sure would make things easier on me. Oh well, enough whining. Happy Sunday.

More Popsicle Fun

Last night I gave the girls popsicles and of course they loved them. They were so cute I put them next to each other and Brooke moved away from Presley. Presley would follow Brooke and Brooke would get up and move to another spot. It was hilarious. They did that several times. It was Presley's fault becuase she was touching Brooke and I guess, Brooke didn't want to be bothered while eating her popsicle. They were having popsicle day today at school also. They just can't get enough of them. It takes Presley a while to get going with hers. She will walk around and set it down on the grass. I know, Yuk. But kids will be kids and a little grass or dirt doesn't hurt a thing.
I have to go get the girls from school so have a woderful weekend.

My Little Helper

Here is the picture of Brookie's face. She has been really good, no whining. She usually is not very good with pain. She gets that from her daddy .
The other day I had a load of the girls clothes to fold so I put the clean clothes on the couch and let me tell you I had some help. Presley started putting some of the clothes on and they were definitely not where they belonged. It was so sweet to watch her try to put the clothes on, she would get so mad when things wouldn't stay in place. She has no patience. My little sweet pea.

The Sand Box

We bought the girls a sand box on Saturday and they love it.
Brooke was helping daddy put the sand in the sand box. She is such a good helper. You can see how short Brookie's hair is in the first picture.
My little Presley, see the look on her face that is the look she gives me when I tell her not to do something. She will smile like that and continue to do what I told her not to do. She is a little tester and she does it to the maximum.
We went swimming this evening and I was emptying the skimmers and Brooke was following me and she fell and hit her cheek and nose and then fell in the pool. Daddy was in and picked her up. She was a little upset. Poor thing she has a scrape on her cheek and under her nose is red. I need to take a picture of it. It sounds worse than it is. She then proceeded to fall again and scrape her legs on the rocks around the flower beds.
She sometimes has days when she is so clumsy but she also doesn't watch where she is going.
Well I am off to take a shower and get ready for bed. I am reading a good book so I want to read a little while. Goodnight.

Brooke's First Haircut

My computer is working. Yeah!
Here are the pictures from Brooke's first haircut. As you can see, she is being adorable. But then she is not too happy at the end, look at the look on her face and look at her hair the curls are gone. :( I think she knows it because she would not smile for the lady so she could take her picture. I hope it grows back fast. I already miss her little palm tree.
Presley was not a happy camper. She has stranger danger with men and it was a male cutting her hair. As soon as he walked up she started crying and wanted daddy. He finished with her hair cut and sprayed some glitter in her hair before he even asked if we wanted glitter. Maybe, if they were six but glitter in a 19 month old. I don't think so. I do like Presley's haircut. If it gets a little longer we can cut it into a bob which I love on little girls. Needless to say we will not go back to that Cool Cuts. I will go back to the one where I took Presley for her first hair cut. They were much more conservative in their cutting ability and I really liked the girl. Have a great hump day.

Look At Us

The girls love these stuffed animals. Papaw and Mamaw gave them to them for Christmas. I have to admit I wasn't happy when I saw how big they were but they absolutely love them. Brooke plays with the monkey all the time. She will lay down and put the monkey on top of her and laugh. She also hides from Presley and I under the monkey. She drags the monkey around the house all the time. Presley then will grab the dog and copy Brooke.
We got the girls a sand box this weekend and they love it. I am having computer problems again. My USB connection isn't working. It won't let me load my pictures. I feel so lost when I can't upload my pictures to my computer, that is one of my nightly things I do. I have some really great pictures too.
We also got the girls haircut on Saturday and they cut Brooke's hair so short I can't even put it up in a ponytail. I told the girl to trim it, I guess her trim and my trim was totally different. I know, it will grow but her curls are gone and her bangs are too short. I want her hair to be long because with those pretty curls it will be gorgeous. I hope I can figure out what is wrong with my DARN computer.

Socks And Shoes

The girls love to put on daddy's socks and shoes. They are so funny. When they see daddy with his shoes on they will point to his shoes and want him to take them off. Presley will get so mad when she can't get the sock on her foot. Brooke is constantly taking her shoes on and off all day and she has to put them on all by herself. She is going to be my child that will say, "I do it mommy." She also walks around with one shoe on and one shoe off all the time, even outside. Presley is like her daddy she has to have her shoes on at all times. It is late I have got to get to bed.

Whoa

We went to see Aunt Dottie last Thurs. in Granbury and Presley and Brooke found this four wheeler and were so facinated by it. Presley climbed upon it and grabbed the handle bars like she knew exactly what to do. They both wouldn't leave Dottie's gardening wagon alone. Brooke kept taking pots out and carrying them to the garage. I was so afraid she was going to break one. Thank goodness they were just terra cotta pots because those are not too expensive to replace. As you can see the look on Brooke's face she was not happy that I was telling her to leave the pots alone.
Presley has to stick everything in her mouth and that includes a gear shift wire. she was not happy when mommy took her off of the bike because she wouldn't listen but of course it didn't last very long. We had a fun time. Grandma met us at Dottie's so we got to see her as well.
The girls slept on the way to Dottie's and on the way home. It was the perfect amount of time for their nap. It was a good test so if I have to drive a while I know they will be okay sleeping their and back. Hopefully the girls will find out soon if they will have a new cousin(s) in 9 months. Dottie and David you are in our prayers.

Look At Us

The girls have realized they can get under Presley's bed. I had put a few toys under the bed and guess who found them, Brooke and Presley followed. I caught them just as they were crawling out from under the bed.
Gary was doing sit ups on the floor the other night and they thought he was trying to get up so Brooke grabbed two hands full of hair to lift him up and then Presley tried to help him also. It was so cute we just laughed but then we thought what if she does that at school, not funny! I love the look on Gary's face. He will kill me for posting this picture but I had to do it. I know I am a bad wife but couldn't resist the temptation.
Brooke loves to sweep. I had swept a pile of dirt up earlier and she felt she had to help Mommy. I think I will put her to work much sooner. She is such a good helper. I love the picture of Brooke and I because I am hardly ever in the pictures.
Daddy took this picture of Presley. She was licking my shoe. Yuck! The child licks everything.
The girls are at such a cute age right now. I just want to eat them up, they are so darn cute.
They are babbling more than ever and saying new words. The doctor did say that one day they will start talking and then you will want them to be quiet. So I guess I should enjoy it now while I can. Gary took the girls for a walk so I could get some things done and I chose to post first then pick up the house. Priorities right! Thanks for looking.

Father's Day

Here are the pictures I took on Father's Day. I know you are not going to believe this but I didn't take very many pictures. I was too busy with the girls and food. I took some but not near as many as I usually take. The first picture is in the morning and everyone still looks sleepy.
We had a great Father's Day. We had Gary's dad and the rest of the crew over to swim and cooked out hamburgers. I made daddy a photo book of the girls and he loved it. He also gets to play golf for a day. He was excited about that one.
The pictures of the girls in the chair were before everyone came over and they were being so darn cute. Of course the pool pictures I love Presley's facial expression. That smile and those eyes still melts my heart. Brooke was also being adorable but serious in the picture I took of her. It was a good day. Gary and I still have to pinch ourselves sometimes because we still can't believe we have children. It is the best thing to hear them call out Mama and Daddy. That is truly the essence of being parents.
