Happy Halloween!

The girls wanted to be Princesses for Halloween. Presley was Tangled without the hair and Brooke was Sleeping Beauty. We found these costumes at Costco way before anyone was looking for Halloween costumes and I made the girls promise if I bought them for them would they wear them for Halloween. Presley decided today on the way to Trick or Treat that she wanted a wig. I told her it was too late and I don’t think she would have wore it anyway.  I was surprised Brooke stayed with being a princess. She has been super heroes the last few years. They were two cute little princesses.

I made these treats for the classroom and thought they turned out so darn cute. I was going to put Hershey Kisses in them and realized after I bought the candy, they didn’t fit in the little bags from Stampin’ Up. I worked on these at the retreat and thank goodness Autum brought some skittles because they seem to fit perfectly. Thanks Autumn!

Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers have gone to the World Series for two years in a row. I was so excited to watch the game tonight but it didn't end like we all wanted. They lost for the second time in a row. It made me sad for the whole team, they deserve to win. What are the chances for the saying "Third Time is a Charm."
We can only hope and pray for them to make it to the world series again. Congrats Rangers for a job well done and a great season.

Pumpkin Patch Again

I love taking pictures at the Pumpkin Patch. The girls had pictures at school on Friday so I decided to take them to the Pumpkin Patch all dressed up. It was not easy at first, they were fighting and didn’t like the other one touching them. I asked them to please get along to get these pictures and then we would get some Kettle Corn. I don’t know what it was that I said but they then started running all over posing and competing with each other to find the best place and pose to take a picture. It was so pleasant and we had so much fun. They were adorable. I think Brooke had the most fun at it. She really got into it.

I could not get Brooke to sit in the tire like Presley. She said, It’s not comfortable.

They did finally get their Kettle Corn. I should have bought them both a big bag after the little photo session. They were Awesome!

I took all these pictures in manual. So excited I am learning how to take better pictures. The lighting was hard in some spots but still love all of them. I would love it if someone could teach me how to show Presley not to squint.

Halloween Fun

We went to the Halloween Party put on by the youth at the church last night. Presley was an Ice Princess and Brooke was a Queen.
I bought these costumes at Divine Consign and wanted to make sure they were worn. They both won in the costume contest. Presley won for Prettiest Costume and Brooke for Best Girl Costume. They were both so excited.

Brooke waited for a long time so Sam could paint her face.  Another sweet girl that the girls look up to.

It was a fun night. We ate pizza, played games, face painting, crafts, and even went trick or treating. We walked around the court yard and knocked on doors and the youth would open the doors with huge smiles and hand the children candy. It tugged at my heart to see the kids having so much fun with the bigger kids. Love watching it all take place.
These pictures were shot on manual and were straight out of the camera. So happy with the results of my pictures after my photography class. Looking forward to my photoshop class next week.
