Face Painting and Fun

After school I took the girls to the park and today I realized they truly are little girls and I love those two girls more than anything. As I watched them try the monkey bars and then say." Mom, I need help."
I had to pinch myself and say I am a Mom and love every minute if it and we tried every monkey bar on the playground and I smiled the whole way through realizing I am a mother and it's the best job I have ever had. We also walked over to see the ducks and saw nine ducklings but their mother was nowhere to be found. Presley immediately asked, "where is the mommy duck."  I told her the mommy duck was getting food for the ducklings.  It's amazing how their little minds work.
We went to CiCi's Pizza tonight and as we were walking up to the door the girls saw a clown through the window and were so excited. She was making balloon animals or face painting. I told the girls they could see the clown as soon as they ate their dinner. I think they ate their dinner the fastest I have seen two kids eat.  They both wanted their face painted. Brooke chose a Lady Bug and Presley chose a Rabbit. The clown was great with the girls and the face painting looked awesome. It was a shame they couldn't enjoy their face painting  for a little bit longer.
When we arrived home daddy took the girls on a bike ride. He takes them every night and they really enjoy their daddy time. It is such a precious sight to watch them ride down the street, just father and daughters.

Ballet

The girls have been taking Ballet after school. It was the perfect opportunity to see if they really liked ballet. Presley seemed to enjoy it more than Brooke. Brooke would be silly during class sometimes and Presley was sure to let me know.  They both did a few moves at the recital and of course looked adorable. The ballet teacher had the girls say their name and their favorite move and then do the move. Brooke and Presley were both shy and said their name quietly but wouldn't do their favorite move but they sure were precious in my eyes. I don't think ballet is their thing but at least we tried. Maybe we will try it again next year.

Gabby Weekend

We had a great time on our scrapping weekend, lots of laughs, food, and bluebonnets.
We took our group picture in some bluebonnets on someones land and the laughs were plentiful as well as the blubonnets. In one of the pictures Andrea is missing because she fell as she was running back to get in her spot. After I realized she was okay, I had to pose for the picture instead of help her up. I have not laughed so hard in a long time. Brenda was able to come last minute and she so needed the time away from her family. It was great to spend the time with her. We have become great friends and we owe that all to Joni for introducing the two of us. It is such a blessing to experience motherhood with such a great friend. Thanks Brenda for taking time away from your family to make some fun memories with me.

Presley Grace

Presley you were the child of the month in school this month. You were just as excited as Brooke and had to carry your poster board into the class to show Mrs. Dickey.
Presley you are such a sweetheart. Your eyes just light up when you smile. You are always so excited to go to school and you love to play with all yor new friends.
You love to go and you wake up in the morning saying, "where are we going today?" It always makes me smile because you are just like me. I don't like to stay at home either.  You are such a lover and love to cuddle and will sit in anyones lap if they let you.

Fishing at Papaw's

Papaw has a pond full of catfish so we decided let the girls try out their Barbie fishing poles. They really got the casting thing down after lots of practice. They both loved the live worms and as you can see from the pictures they were not afraid to pick them up. Brooke even put the container of worms in Michaels face and he jumped and she cracked up. The look on her face was priceless. The picture of her with the worms is right after she showed Michael. It was so hilarious to see her joking around with her cousin. Colt was the one to catch the only fish but the girls still had fun. We'll have to give it a try again so I can capture their first fish.
We then went to Babe's and the girls love Babe's because they can get up and dance and they get up and dance. Presley is more shy than Brooke. Brooke gets right up their with the big girls and watches the moves and will do them herself. I love watching them open up and participate in small things like dancing in a public place. We all know I love to have fun and I want my children to inherit that same personality as well. It was a fun day and great to see family.
Presley wanted two ponytails in her hair and I am so glad it is getting long enough to put them in her hair. I have always had to mess with Brooke's hair and she has always wanted something in her her hair. We are letting it grow longer so we can do more with it. I love the bob haircut on her but understand her wishes. It looks so cute! It makes her look older, maybe I better rethink the hair style because I want her to look younger for as long as she can.

Easter 2010

Brooke was sick with allergies on Easter, her poor nose wouldn't quit running and she was so congested. We didn't make it to church or the Easter Egg Hunt. She seemed fine but her poor nose was so raw we could barely touch it. I was afraid people would think she was contagious. We had our own hunt at home and Mimi and Poppy came over for dinner. They had a great time hunting eggs. Presley kept asking where the Easter bunny was hiding. I should have taken them to see the Easter Bunny but it just slipped my mind, last year she was afraid of the bunny. Brooke was too cute when I came in from hiding the eggs she was standing on the ottoman watching daddy and I hide the eggs. I read the girls a book all about Easter so they would know the real reason we celebrate Easter. He has Risen.
I have gone back to work temporarily to help a doctor train a new staff member. It has been two days and I am already wondering why I decided to do such a crazy thing.
I admire all the working mothers and realized how wonderful I have it. I am so blessed to be there for my children and really enjoy the time I have with them.

Good Friday

We had a busy day on Friday. The day started off baking a cake. You both really enjoyed licking the bowl and all utensils used to mix the cake. I let you help put the icing on and then you both placed the yellow peeps on all by yourself. In between placing the peeps you had to stick your finger in the icing and lick the icing off of your fingers. I think you both said yummy often during icing the cake. The recipe made two round cakes so we decided to take one of the cakes to Anthologies. Presley was especially excited to go see some of my friends. She kept asking on the way over if we were going to see some friends and when Presley says things she will say it until we do it so it was said until we finally walked through the doors and she actually saw some people I knew. It was so adorable. We then left there and went to McDonalds to eat and ran into Mason and that was a specail treat.
We headed home for a much needed nap. After nap time we colored Easter Eggs. I found the best egg coloring kit. You place the egg in a container along with some drops of die and then you push a big button and the egg spins inside and the die colors the egg, it was so much easier than all the little cups filled with water that could be spilled by two three year olds. I think Presley had more fun than Brooke. Brooke did a few and she was done but not Presley she helped mommy until all the eggs were finished. It was so much fun to watch them get so excited to help bake and color eggs. I am so blessed to have to wonderful and fun girls.
