Grocery Cart

As you can see from the photos they all had fun with the grocery carts. Gary and I had talked about getting them a grocery cart for Christmas and now we know we will be buying two. They would not let go of them.
Mimi and Poppy came over today to see the girls. It was a much needed break for the girls from mommy and daddy. The girls were both up all night again last night.
Brooke wakes at 9:00pm
Presley wakes at 11:00pm
Brooke at 12:30 am
Brooke at 2:30
Presley at 4:00am- I bring her to bed with me (I know I shouldn't but I am tired)
Brooke at 5:30am-Gary brings her to bed with us.
I feel like I was awake all night and never rested.
Brooke is teething because she is drooling so much and chews on everything. Presley I am not sure because she has had a fever. I said she was better but today she had a little fever and acted like she felt bad. Her teeth are almost all the way through so i am not sure if it is her teeth.
It is so funny how fast we forget when we were sleep deprived when they were born until it happens. I hope tonight is better. I think I will go to bed earlier. Last night I went to bed at 11:30pm.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day.
Sorry for posting a picture twice but I didn't know how to delete just one picture.

Look Mom

These are pictures from Paradise Pond. The minute we walked in and walked around the corner the girls saw the jump house but that wasn't what they were so excited about, it was what was on the bounce house, a dog! They love dogs and get excited when they see one. They quickly got over it and started venturing to see other things. After all we had just arrived and they still had much more to see. It was so cute to see them so happy. We had a blast and wished we would have found this place early in the summer. But I think they can miss Mother's day out to go to Paradise Pond. They are only open on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 to 11:00 am. I think Friday would be a good day to miss. I took a ton of pictures but haven't finished editing them so I will post more in the next couple of days. Presley was fine today, no fever all day. I am glad she is better. We took the girls to eat dinner tonight and I think our days of taking them out to eat are over. They were not so good and of course daddy said, he wasn't taking them until they were 10. They are usually so good but not tonight. Neither Gary or I finished our dinner and they didn't even really eat. Oh well, such is life with toddlers. I'm sure it was because they were up all night and were tired. But it really made us think about cutting back on eating out. They are definitely hitting the terrrible twos. Off to shower and to bed. I am pooped tonight.

My Little Helpers

I bought the girls vacuum cleaners at the Divine Consign Sale and they love them. I am always vacuming so they are very much aware of the chore. Presley thougjht she would try the task while wearing daddy's shoes. Brooke couldn't do without her paci while pushing her vacuum around the room. (That darn Paci, I hate it!)
I thought I would show you a picture of the table and chairs I also bought. I am really pleased with this purchase because the girls can sit at their table and draw and it keeps them occupied for a short while.
We had a busy week, Gymboree, Paradise Pond, The Gym, Meet the Teacher, Playdate with Alec, and Erin and Jensen came to play today. The girls were tired tonight and Presley is running a fever. I hope it is short lived and nothing big.
I have to tell you I haven't posted much because I am now a blog stalker. I am so addicted to reading other peoples blogs (Thanks Brenda). I get so involved that it gets too late for me to post on mine. It has made me behind in editing my pictures as well. So, my goal this weekend is to get caught up on my pictures.
Bye for now.

A Trip to The Zoo

Last Thursday the girls and I met Brenda and Aleck at the zoo. We weren't there for very long but had a fun time. We saw the penguins which was perfect timing because they had just started feeding them. We also played in a barn playhouse. I think they all enjoyed themselves. We also rode the carousel. It was really hard to get a photo of us all on the carousel. I had Elissa go with me to the zoo and it definitely made it easier. We bought a zoo membership because it will pay for itself after 4 times and then we can go for an hour or two and not feel like we have to spend all day at the zoo. It will be great when it cools off. I realized my pictures were not that great so I don't have many to post. We go to our last Gymboree session tomorrow and then school starts. Yahoo!

A Special Visitor

I know I am so behind in my posting. But I am still in a blog funk. Maybe, I will pull out of it when the girls start mother's day out next week. I have also been trying to get ready for the Divine Consign Sale in Grapevine. It is a ton of preparation but is well worth it.
Elissa came by last week with her dog "Ginger." The girls love to walk Ginger around on her leash in the house. Notice the Paci in Brooke's mouth. It is so my fault. While Gary was out of town, Preley was sick and Brooke was unconsolable. I knew I could pacify (no pun intended) one of them and guess who it was, yes Brooke. I gave the Paci to her and of course she was fine but look at the damage of giving in one time. She wants it all the time now. I tried not giving it to her but she would go to her shelf and stand in front of it and cry and never let up. So obviously I have to give it to her. I hate it more than anything. I hate seeing a Paci in a toddlers mouth but you do what you have to do. I am so sorry to all the parents that I critisized for letting their toddler walk around with a pacifier. I know it is God's way of getting back at me. I will have to break her of it but I am not sure when. I think she is going through something because she has also been really attached to her bunny as well. She has even had to have her bunny in her highchair and that is not Brooke.
Presley has been my little toot. She is throwing little tantrums and will bang her head on the floor, wall, chair, or whatever she can find. I know she is frustrated but my goodness. I have started to ignore her because nothing seems to be helping. If I try to pick her up she just gets worse. My oh my, I have my work cut out for me.
Oh I almost forgot the girls are going to Mother's Day Out for four days instead of two. Gary and I decided we thought it would be better for them. They love going to school and seem to be progressing well.
I love the last photo because it is the three of us. Joni took the picture when she and Sharon came over for the preview of the new Stampin Up Catalog.
Thanks for looking!

New Toy

I went to the Divine Consign Sale and bought an outdoor toy. The girls love it. They couldn't wait for daddy to put it together. They both were a big help (not). I also bought them a table and chairs and some other toys. It was a great sale and can't wait for the Grapevine sale. I need to look for clothes at this sale. Gary and I decided this is their birthday present a little early. Enjoy the pictures and thank for looking.

Miss Messy

Look at my messy child. Brooke was eating yogurt the other day and I had to capture a picture. She was having a ball playing in the yogurt while eating it. Little Miss Presley eats like a queen she hardly ever is a mess. I love the look on Brooke's face. The twinkle in her eyes just captures my heart. I love them both dearly and am thankful everyday that I get to spend the time with them.
Gary and I went to dinner this weekend and it was so good and nice to be out with my husband. It has been a long time since we have gone to dinner just the two of us. We had a great time and some wonderful food.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I was in a posting funk. I just haven't felt like it.

Kenzie's Birthday

The girls had so much fun at Kenzie's party. They played in her room, swung on the swing, jumped on the trampoline, rode the see saw, and had cake and ice cream (yummy). There were a lot of babies at the party and they loved seeing all of the little ones. They both are so infatuated with babies. They especially loved seeing Clay and Josh.
Yahoo! Daddy is home the girls were so glad to see him. They wouldn't let him out of their sight. Have a great week!

Good And Bad

Brooke is obsessed with drawing. She is so into it and quite serious as she is drawing. She gets so upset at times and the best I can figure is she gets mad when the pen doesn't work the way she wants. It cracks me up until it happens 20 times then it is a little annoying.
I have made a big mistake. Since daddy has been out of town, I have given Brooke her paci when she was whining one day and let me tell you she so remembered it and has been going to the shelf and standing while looking up where her paci usually lays and saying, (night night!). She usually only gets her paci at night and nap time and I make her put it on the shelf so she understands she can't have it any other time. Man, I can't believe I had a weak moment. I wish I would have chosen something else to give in to instead of the paci. But I had a crying child and a whiny child and I was about to pull my hair out and weak moment happened. Daddy isn't going to be happy with mommy. Oh well, do what you have to do to survive. The last picture of Brooke is her looking for her paci and whining . She stood up on the edge of the bed to see inside her bed. As you can see, Presley followed suit but she was smiling and so proud of herself. Daddy comes home tomorrow. Hallelujah! He has been in China and India. He has missed the girls terribly. I have been emailing him pictures. I will be so glad to have him home. He hasn't had to travel this much in a while. I am off to dry my hair.
Happy Monday.

Gotta Wear Shades

The girls really enjoyed playing with their sunglasses. Brooke was a ham whenever she wore hers. Sorry for the pictures with no shirt on, but the girls like it better when they are not fully dressed. I have a little time because I put them in their highchairs and let them eat a popsicle since it is too darn hot to go outside. I will post those pics another day. Short post because I have to clean up two girls sticky hands. Bye!

Little Toots

The girls were sitting under the table drinking their milk. They were laughing so I had to see what they were doing. I didn't like what I saw but laughed to myself because they were being so cute. They were drinking their milk and letting it run out of their mouth. Brooke was the instigator. Look at her milk mouth it looks like a small beard. Presley look is so Presley. She gives that look a lot. Mostly when she is getting in trouble. I love the picture with Brooke laughing. She has been so lovey lately. She will just walk up and give me a hug and those of you who know that is not like Brooke. My girls have switched roles. Presley has been a handful in the evenings. She has been really clinging and wanting me to hold her a lot. Poor thing she misses her daddy, she doesn't understand I can't hold her and cook dinner. Well enough for tonight. Time for bed.
