My Little Michael Angelo's

The girls love to paint and boy can they make a mess with the paint. It is so fun to watch their little eyes light up when they touch their paintbrush to the paint. I have to be in the mood to let them paint because it is a mess to clean up. But I guess in the long run it is all worth the mess to see them so happy and content.

They start school next week and I am so excited, it has been a busy two weeks. We went to meet the teacher today and the girls will have Mrs. Barbara and Mrs. Michelle. They had Mrs. Barbara last year and loved her and Mrs. Michelle subbed some and is really great with the kids. I think it will be a great year for them.
We got granite countertops yesterday and it looks so good. I still have to get the backsplash done and would love to have the floor replaced but since we are not going to stay in this home then I can wait for new floors in a new house. We have been doing some other minor improvements and I am loving the new look.

Shaving Cream Soap

I decided to buy Shaving Cream Soap for the girls and they absolutely loved it. As you can see from the photos. They have always loved taking a bath but now it's a new adventure.
They are almost potty trained. They have been dry more often in the last couple of days and have been going more in the potty. If they are playing hard they will wet in their pull up. I take full blame for them not being potty trained earlier because when the summer started I was not going to stay at home to potty train. I wanted them to have fun and experience life. So we did and had fun doing it. I do have to say pull ups are easier than diapers but I will be glad when they are in regular panties. I put them in panties at first and said I wouldn't use pull ups because pull ups to me are like diapers. But of course my fun loving self had to get out of the house and here we are today still wearing pull ups. We have two weeks off before school starts and I am going to work on the panty thing again and see if I can't get these two girls potty trained, end of story.
Sorry for not posting as much but we have been busy and I have been a little out of sorts. I have been diagnosed with Hyperthyroid and have not been able to sleep among other symptoms. So I have been in a little funk with my blog and not really wanting or feeling like posting. Hopefully the haze will lift and I will be back to my old self soon. I haven't even been taking pictures. That's bad for me!
The girls are really growing up. They are becoming a little mouthy and spend a lot of time in time out or Mr. Pop makes his way to their little leg on occasions. I usually have to start counting and they stop what they are doing. The other day they put their babies in time out and I asked, "why are they in time out," and Presley said,
"baby is not listening." Can you tell they have been in timeout for the same reason.
We also have to have talks in the car before we go anywhere and let them know what we expect from them when we are in a public place. Brooke will say, Mommy I be a good girl." Famous last words. All in all they are pretty good kids and I love them with all my heart.
Brooke hasn't been sleeping with her "Boppy" (pacifier) at school and has only had it at night so I am hoping to ween her from that as well. She is too big for a "Boppy." She will also tell me she is a big girl and doesn't want her boppy for nap at school. If I can accomplish the potty training and the good riddance of the Boppy, I will feel like a good mother. Pray for me on these two tasks because they are much needed. Have a wonderful weekend and God Bless.

A Friendly Visit

We went to visit a friend I use to work with on Monday. She has Porter who is almost two and just had Baby Presley, that's right another Presley and she is precious. Presley loved that they had the same name. They were too funny they brought their babies and put their babies in everything imaginable that Baby Presley would sit or lay. Porter really enjoyed playing with the girls babies as well. He would hold one and kiss it on the head it was adorable. He is going to be a great big brother. It was a fun time and it was great to see Kempa. It had been too long since I had seen her. Thanks for sharing your home and your family with us we enjoyed every minute of it. The girls keep mentioning Porter and Presley, I think they had a good time.
