My Heroes

Brooke "Mom Superman is my hero"
Mommy "Really, you are my hero"
Brooke " I need my Superman costume so I can be Superman"
Mommy " I will look for it tomorrow"
Brooke " Superman, Superman" she screams as she runs through the kitchen

I don't really understand her fascination with Superman. She has never even seen Superman or anything related to it.
Presley will tell me she is a Princess and Mommy you are a Queen and Daddy is the King and Brooke will say loudly, and I am Superman. It cracks me up everytime. I sure hope she grows out of this little Super Hero phase.
My two little girls are my heroes and always will be.
I had to post these pictures of both of them dressing up in mommy and daddys clothes and shoes. These are random pictures but they will sneak in our closets and come out with whatever they can find. Presley really gets creative at times.

My Little Princesses

The girls were invited to their first Princess Party. They were so excited they wouldn't stop talking about it. They sure were good that day because if they acted up I would tell them they wouldn't be able to go to the Princess Party. I am such a mean mommy but, hey, whatever works, right. They were angels the whole day until the party. It was a good thing because I was sick that day and daddy had to watch them. I was disappointed that I didn't get to take them to the party because I have no pictures of the other little girls. They made their own little jewelry box and came home with crowns. What a great day for my two little Princesses. Brooke on the other hand says she is not a princess but instead "Superman." She doesn't give in either she has been Superman since Halloween. Oh well, she sure is a cute Superman in my eyes.

A Valentine Gift

I made these frames for the girls teachers along with matching cards but of course I forgot to take a picture of the card but I used the matching paper that I put on the frame. I also gave the teachers "Fudgie Wudgie" and if you haven't tried this fudge it is a must because it is delicious. The girls are enjoying their new school and mommy is so glad they have finally adjusted and will tell me they love their school now. They had a great Valentine Party and had way too many sweets.

A Snowy Walk

We took a walk the day after the snow to check out the damage in the neighborhood. We had some damage to a big Live Oak Tree in our yard. Our Crate Myrtle trees were almost touching the ground in the front of our house. We had to walk in the street because we were afraid a tree branch could fall on us or falling snow. The girls were so excited to take Bailey with us. He really enjoyed the walk. Brooke didn't last long she was ready to go back inside. It was a short but good walk.

Snow Fun

I can't believe we got 12 inches of snow. I picked the girls up from school and we waited for daddy to get home so we could build a snowman. It was so much fun to watch them hard at work with the snowman parts. Brooke really got into rolling her snowball as well as Presley. We finished the snowman and then did snow angels. The girls were enjoying themselves up until daddy hit Presley with a snowball on her cheek. She laughed at first and then realized it hurt or was cold and then proceeded to cry. Daddy felt terrible and Presley wouldn't let it go. I think her feelings were more hurt than anything. So that ended our snow play. It amazes me how long children can be cold and wet but continue to play even when they are freezing. I remember being the same way. I loved playing outside when I was little.

Chuck E. Cheese

We took the girls to Chuck E. Cheese one Sunday and Tom and Brenda met us there with Aleck and Ella. These were the only pictures I took. The girls really love that place but man can you spend some cash in such a short while. It was crazy but fun. My favorite was watching the girls play air hockey that is my all time favorite game so it was neat for them to like it as much as I do. The next was Skeeball, I love that one too but they were not able to throw the balls so they would walk up the lane and then throw the ball. I assumed it was okay for them to do it because noone ever told us not to walk up the skeeball game. I should have taken a picture but the memories are just as good for me. It was a fun evening and the girls slept so well that night.

Rodeo Day

It has been a crazy week and a half. The girls ended up being sick into the next week. I thought they were feeling better and then Brooke continued to get sick a couple of more days. So they missed five days of school and were sick over a weekend as well.
They had Rodeo Day at school last Friday and their class did a little dance. Poor little girls weren't there to learn the dance because of their illness so they just stood and watched everyone.
I put them both in denim skirts but Brooke's skirt was too tight on her tummy so we had to change her clothes and put on jeans. I was a little disappointed because the skirt Brooke had was a little western skirt and it looked adorable on her. But she doesn't like anything tight on her tummy and she definitely will let you know. She has been like that since she could walk. I'll just have to save it for Presley.
They both had pink hats and boots. Brooke wouldn't wear her hat at home for my picture but when I saw her in the gym she had her hat on and they both were such cute cowgirls it just made my heart melt and realize they are such big girls now.
They have adjusted well with their new school but last week was rough. They would say they didn't like their new school and would cry when I dropped them off. It was hard for mommy because they have never not liked school. It took a solid week and now they love their school. Presley even told me one morning that she likes her new school. I told her I was happy and I knew she would like it. I am so glad they are feeling better and are happy little girls.
