Cuteness!

The girls got bug catchers from Mimi and Poppy for Easter. They love bugs so I thought a bug catcher would be great. Daddy took them out to catch bugs and they got a grass snake, a beetle and some roly poly bugs. They didn't really understand that catching a snake was a big deal but they were so excited that they had bugs. The other day Presley saw the beetle laying on his back and said, "the beetle go night night mommy." I just smiled and didn't tell her that the poor beetle was dead. I am so sad I didn't take a picture of the snake in the bug catcher it would have been a cool picture because he was wrapped around a twig and leaves. Don't worry daddy let the snake go, as soon as the girls went to bed. They woke up first thing in the morning asking where the snake went, we told them he must of got out of the bug catcher. They seem to be okay with that answer.
The picture of Presley in the cowboy hat I couldn't resist posting. I was cleaning out their closet last saturday and she saw it and wanted to wear it. She was playing with puzzles with daddy when I took the picture. My little cowgirl.
I can't tell you how much I look at them and say to myself I am one lucky person and I owe it all to one person, the one, our heavenly father. Wow! That just puts a smile on my face.

Bathtime Bubbles

I put bubbles in the girls bath for the first time the other night. Presley was so excited. Brooke was excited but not as much as Presley. I don't know why I haven't done this sooner. It's the little things that make such a difference in a child's eyes. I guess I should look through their eyes more often.
The girls have had a horrible cough, no fever just a cough. I took them to the doctor twice this week. We are doing breathing treatments and humidifiers to help.
The doctor says it could take 15-20 days for the cough to get better and it will get worse before it gets better. On top of that Presley has an ear infection. They don't act sick. They just cough a lot.
We are suppose to go to "Baby Loves Disco" tomorrow. We will just have to see how much they are coughing tomorrow.
Thanks for looking. I am tired and off to bed.

Look Mom

The girls are really becoming independant. They love to peel their own oranges now. Brooke will say, "Me do, me do". I can barely get it started for them. They are truly growing up.
Brooke is becoming such the little hugger and kisser. Mrs. Kari, her teacher, says she is the little mother of the class. Presley has always been a lovey child. I love it when I pick her up and she will lay her head on my shoulder. It makes me want to squeeze her to pieces.
Sorry for the short post but I am trying to get ready for the Divine Consign sale and it is taking up all my time.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Checking It All Out

Here is a picture of the girls up on the fence checking out daddy's Cristmas Lights.
You can't really see the lights in the picture.
Daddy took this picture of the girls the other day and I just thought it was too cute.
The girls have really started to talk a lot more and repeating things I say. I really do love this stage right now except for the fit throwing. I hope that passes. They are just so darn cute right now and really starting to be funny and they think they are funny because they will do something and just laugh. I think Christmas will be fun this year. I can't wait.

Go Cowboys

My little Dallas Cowboy fans. I have to start them young. I found these at Albertsons, thanks to my sister Kellie for telling me about them. We wore them for the first time and so many people commented on these adorable jerseys. Let's hope they win tonight. Gary went hunting this weekend and will be home tonight. It is getting somewhat easier as the girls get older but Presley is still throwing tantrums. If I tell her no, she falls to the ground and cries. The girls are really starting to fight over toys and mommy's attention. Brooke hits and Presley scratches. They both bit each other at different times this weekend. I am nipping that in the bud real quick.
The girls are off of school for a teacher work day. Since they have been going to school I often wonder how I did it for a year and a half. It is so nice to have a little time to myself. The girls absolutely love school. Presley will point and say school when we drive by, even when we are not going to school. Brooke never wants to leave, she will run around the gym when I pick her up. It takes forever to get them out of the building. I guess that is a sign they love school. That truly makes me happy to know that they are happy when they are away from mommy.

Sitting Pretty

Brooke and Presley love to sit in the big chairs now. I let them but as soon as someone stands in the chair they have to get down and can you guess who does it first! That's right, BROOKE.
Presley loves to play with the blocks. She loves for me to bounce them all around in the container and say, "Pop, pop, pop" and slowly make them come out of the container (like popcorn). She will bring the blocks to me and shake the container and of course I know what she wants. But I sure will be glad when they can use their words. We are working on it but it just takes time.
I love the picture of Brooke looking around from the chair. Her expression is priceless.

We went to Gymboree this morning and the girls had a fun time. We are meeting the Mathis family at Arts Fest in Ft. Worth. We went with them last year. Gary and I have gone for a while now and we usually don't like to miss it. So I will have lots of pictures tomorrow. The girls are napping so I must get our stuff together for our outing. It is such a beautiful day I hope everyone is enjoying the 80 degree weather. Don't forget your sunscreen!

Outside Play

I know I posted yesterday about Presley finally mastering the slide but I had to show this one picture. I have been trying to get this evil look of hers. Everytime she gives Gary or I this look we crack up laughing. It doesn't seem like such a look can come from such a smiling and sweet girl. What do you think?
Brooke has her bucket and is collecting anything she can, leaves, sand, rocks, and whatever she feels like putting in her bucket.
They are playing so well together. They play, Ring Around The Rosie but haven't quite got the falling down part yet. As you can see, Brooke leads the way and Presley follows. I have a feeling this will be the norm with the two of them. They really do have their own language and it is adorable to watch them. I love to sit back and watch them communicate with each other. I wonder what they are saying sometimes. I am so glad I am able to be there to witness all these cute moments. Thank you Gary for allowing me to stay home with our children. I love you and cherish every moment.

Playtime

Yeah! It's Friday. Gary has been out of town all week and I am tired. I didn't take any new pictures yesterday or today so here is one from the other day. They really are starting to play well together. Brooke still takes toys from Presley (I am working on the issue) but Presley will definitely play tug of war with a toy if she doesn't want Brooke to have it. She is learning. They are starting to hug and give each other kisses. I want to try to get a picture of the sweetness. Because we all know it may not last. I really hope they will always play well and love each others company.
I am so excited because I am going on a retreat April 25-27. I am so ready for a break.
Well, I am off to get some stuff done. Goodnight.

Oh My Goodness

I went into the bedroom briefly and Gary called my name to come look at the girls and low and behold look what I saw. Can you believe these little angels (Huh!) Brooke was the instigator, Presley would not have climbed on the gate without seeing Brooke do it first. Brooke is my climber and Presley follows. I have to watch every move Brooke makes. She is even climbing on the chairs and climbing on the tables. We have removed the chairs in the kitchen because they are so light she can move them herself. The chairs in the dining room are too heavy but we make sure they are pushed in so she can't climb. Hmmm! My little monkey. We call them little monkies but never thought that it would fit them to a tee. Look how cute they look as sthey are being bad little girls. Heehee! Well quick post the girls and I are going to go on a walk.

Standing Tall

Happy St Patrick's Day!
Brooke has taught her sister how to stand up on the toys.
Presley sits back and soaks up everything Brooke does and then does it herself. Which is fine with some things but standing on the toys is not good because Presley isn't as coordinated as Brooke. If you notice in the picture Presley is on the very edge of the car and right next to the fireplace. My heart sank when I realized how close she was to possibly hurting herself. But of course I had to snap a picture before I grabbed her.
We had a busy weekend. I will post pics this week from our fun weekend.

Fun Times

Well, it's been awhile since I have posted. I am so out of practice. After my computer crashed I kind of got out of the habit of posting. I know can you believ it. I am still having some issues so I try not to be on my computer as much. I still need to load my photo software. I have been so lazy when it comes to my computer and never mind that the girls are keeping me busy and tired lately.
I enrolled them in Mother's Day Out and can't wait til June 2, which is their first day. They will go on Mon and Fri. Yahoo!!!
Brooke loves to push her babies around in the stroller Aunt Kellie bought her. She also gets mad at the stroller when things don't go her way. Presley loves to brush her teeth and yes, it has everything to do with her teething. She will chew on that toothbrush all day if I let her. They both are cutting 6 teeth all at once. Poor babies!
I will try to be better at posting for those of you who frequent my blog.
I gotta go and get ready for the maid. She is back after surgery and I am so grateful.
Goodnight!

Beautiful Day

The girls love to go outside now. If they know one of us is leaving they will run to the door and whine. I sure will be glad when they can communicate and let me know what they want. I love this picture of Brooke except for the hotspots in the photo.
I am still having some computer issues. I have been getting viruses still. I run my virus scan everyday just to mkae sure. I think it is from my external harddrive. I had the virus on my computer when I loaded everything on my harddrive so when they put my stuff back on the virus came with it. It is getting better but still not perfect.
I have had to spend the last couple of days going through my emails which I had 600 to filter. Man am I tired of looking at emails. I usually stay on top of it so I don't have to spend hours going through emails. I need to put my photo software on my computer but I am thinking of changing to a new one. I had Microsoft Digital Image Pro but thinking of switching to Adobe Photoshop. If any of you have used both and can give me suggestions I would love to hear them.
I better get off this computer the girls are napping and I need to get some things done before they wake up.

Finally I Am Back

Wow! I have missed blogging. I am having withdrawals. The girls love to empty out their toys and climb in the barrel. Of course, Brooke is always first and Presley has to wait until she is done, then she can get in the barrel. As of this weekend I have moved their toys into their room. I am tired of my living room looking like a daycare. They can bring toys into the living room but at night we put them back in their room.
Both of them are getting their back teeth. I am so glad because I won't have to cut everything up so small and they won't be so limited on what they can eat.
They are really starting to understand. I ask them something and they shake their heads "no."
Presley is the one that really tests me. Brooke gets her feelings hurt if I change my tone and she will start to cry. I thought it would be the other way around but it's not. They tend to change places all the time. Presley will follow Brooke, so if Brooke does something you can bet Presley will do it next. Brooke is definitely the leader and will probably be the bossy on (like her mother).
I am feeling much better. I have had to play catch up with the house since I was in the hospital. But the maid is back tomorrow. Thank you Lord for her return. My house needs a thorough cleaning. Speaking of I better get off this computer so I can pick up for her. I am so glad to be back. Thank you all for your concerns. I appreciate every one of you.

Sitting Pretty

The girls love to play in baskets. I took this picture the other day. I just love Brooke's expression. She is really starting to be so photogenic. It use to take me forever to get pictures of my little Brookie. She would close her eyes or have a funny look on her face. Do you think she is finally getting use to mama and her camera because Lord knows it is always out and being used. I am really wanting to take a photography class because I feel I could learn to take better pictures. I took two classes at UTA but it was before I had my digital camera. I feel like I have forgotten a lot of what I learned. I saw a class that I could take on line but it was pretty pricey. I also want to take an Adobe Photoshop class so I can learn the software. I have Microsoft Digital Image Pro and I am really not that happy with it. I feel I could do more with it.

So, for those of you reading my blog if you know anyone who could teach me I would greatly appreciate it. I would even be willing to pay someone.

I am reading a really great book "The Pillars of the Earth" by John Follet. I highly recommend this book. I have been staying up late reading. I haven't read a book like this in a long time. You know one of those you just can't put down. I take the book everywhere so I can read it when I have the time. I got my oil changed today and yes, the book was with me. Of course, I don't read it while I am taking care of my children but I have been tempted. I never thought I would read a book about the building of a Cathedral but it was an Oprah's Book Club and I have heard so much about it that I had to buy it for myself.

I have a training tomorrow in Dallas so I must get my butt to bed. Goodnight

Sick, Sick, Sick

Sorry for not posting but the girls are sick with a cold/virus. Their little noses are like faucets. I am constantly wiping their noses and washing my hands all day. My hands are so dry and chapped. Please, Lord let this end soon. On top of all that Gary was out of town this weekend. It is Monday and I am already exhausted.

I am having problems with my camera and computer. I cannot load any pictures onto my computer for some reason. I took my laptop to the convention so some things could be loaded for my trainings and I also took my external harddrive so Brian (hardware Specialist) could look at it and fix my issues. I am getting some error involving USB hub port. I hope my USB connections are not bad. I am going to email him and see if he can fix the problem via email for me. So I will have to show you older pictures.
These pictures were taken by someone else (Thanks Jamie) at Christmas. I love the hat Brooke has on, it is a little big but she will grow into it. Adorable! She has a matching sweater to go with the hat. My littlePresley and her smile that will melt your heart. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoy your week.

My Little Bunny

Hello,
The girls received these towels for Christmas. Presley loved hers. She was so precious she walked around with a big smile and was laughing her little fake laugh. I do have to say she was adorable. Brooke would not leave hers on, her towel is a cat. Of course, she was the one that wouldn't leave her hat on either when I had their one year pics done. Brooke kept pulling the towel off of Presley, as you see in the photo. She is such a bully.
Presley is cutting three new teeth and I have a feeling Brooke will be cutting more soon. I will be so glad when they get their back teeth so I don't have to watch what I give them. It is really hard at this stage because I feel like I give them the same foods. I have been changing it up some. I am trying to give them fresh instead of canned vegetables. Presley is my good eater she will eat anything, even lima beans and beets. Brooke likes her fruits and vegetables and doesn't care as much for meats. I did give them fish today and they both loved it. That makes me feel a little better.
Gary and I took the girls to the park on Saturday and I am a bad mommy because I forgot my camera. They had a ball. They loved the baby swings. Brooke had so much fun she didn't want to leave. She cried all the way to the store. She was so upset. She loves to be outside. She is the one that is going to wear me out.
The girls moved up to the Toddlers class at Church on Sunday. They really love going to church, so far they haven't cried. Praise God!
Well, I am caught up from not posting. It is harder to post these days so please forgive me and bear with me.

Sweeties

Whew! I can come up and breathe now. I have been so busy with the holiday rush and all, I haven't been able to post. Here are a few photos of my sweet angels. I can't wait until Christmas to see them open their presents they will be so cute. They love packages and boxes. I have wrapped everything I can. We are having Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at our house. It is so much easier with the girls to be at their own home.
Gary and I are going to a Christmas Party tonight and much needed time away. Oh date night. We have to get up and go to church tomorrow because the times on Christmas Eve don't work with the girls schedules.
I must go and give the girls a bath and then get myself ready to Paartyy!!!
