Young Chefs

I bought a Living Social for a kids cooking class at Young Chefs. We met Clay and Josh for breakfast at La Madeleine and they were all so excited to see each other. We then headed to the cooking class. They were making French Toast and Breakfast Burritos. They all got to crack an egg and each got a turn at adding ingredients. They smelled vanilla and dipped their bread in the egg mixture and then dipped it in corn flakes and then off to the oven. As the French Toast was cooking, the smell was so wonderful. They then started to make their burrito. They cut their ham with round cutters and those were the hit of the class. All the kids wanted a cutter and yes, we left with two cutters. While they waited for the food to finish cooking they did some stretches and had some fun. Once the food was finished they ate what they cooked and they all said it was yummy. They all had a great time. Now we just need to get them cooking at home.

Gabby Scrappers Weekend!

We had a great weekend at Catherine's Lakehouse and what a great view. It was so relaxing just looking out the window at the wonderful scenery.
It was also Susan's Birthday and Connie brought this yummy Amaretto Cake. It went perfect with the Pina Colada's.
I told everyone about Ginger Brown's home cooking and their wonderful cinnamon rolls. Our goal was to see the sunset because we missed it the night before. We rushed out so we could make the sunset so we didn't get our free cinnamon roll but Sharon and Susan waited while we tried to see the sunset. Cari couldn't wait and had her cinnamon roll in the car. The cinnamon rolls rate right up there with Pioneer Woman's Cinnamon Roll recipe. We barely got home in time to see the sunset. It was still beautiful and glad I caught the little bit of sun that I did. We hung out on the deck for awhile and then headed back in to get some crafting done or just good old girl time.
My goal for the weekend was to finish my fragment frame and I finished it and am so happy with the results. I was unable to get logged on so didn't get my blogging done but still enjoyed my rested weekend with my Gabby Scrappers. Thanks Catherine for opening up your lake house to all of us.

Paint Project!

I saw this on a blog and took all the stuff to the beach so we could do this and hang it on our balcony for the 4th of July. We never got around to making it so we did it the other day. The girls were having fun painting their hands and feet. We almost fell several times and came real close to messing up what we had already made. But it all turned out great. I just might need to frame one or both of these paint projects. They both love to paint so this was right up their alley.
