A Day Of Beauty
We had the best day today. We started the day out with donuts and then we went to Border's book store to check out the closing sale. They filed bankruptcy and the store in Colleyville is closing. We are sad to see it go and Daddy really is because that is his office some days. They were so happy because they love the book store and they wanted to pick out a book. Have I told you how darn cute those girls of mine can be? I went to look at the magazines while they were in the children's section and I heard, "mommy" and immediately knew it was my sweet Presley. She walked through the store saying mommy about five times and each time I heard her little voice, I smiled and my heart was so full at that moment. She has been so adorable lately and such a great helper. She walked up to me and gave me a hug and told me she loved me. That is what makes being a mother so special. After we paid for our books we went to get our toes painted. The girls were beyond excited because this would be their first time to have their finger nails and toe nails painted at a nail salon. I got a pedicure while they were being pampered and they were so good. I didn't even hear a peep from them. I have to admit, I was a little worried about how they would act. They never cease to amaze me.
Brooke was a little upset when we got in the car and realized having her finger nails painted was going to interfere with her thumbsucking. I am so proud to be their mother and cherish our mommy and daughter time.

Sitting With Daddy
The girls were so cute the other day. They were coloring and Daddy was working in his office and they moved their chairs and art stuff into daddy's office so they could be near their daddy. It was so darn cute I had to take a few pictures. I love those girls.

Valentine Cards
These are the cards/Calendars I made for the teachers. I can't take credit for the design because we made these in stamp club.
Brooke's Valentine Card
Presley's Valentine Card
Brooke was bored with this craft real quick and had me do her last three but Presley was with it until she finished. Presley loves to do crafts. Brooke has to be in the mood and sometimes doesn't last long. They are like night and day.
Valentine's Party
The girls had their Valentine Party on Friday. We made candy corn bark and made our own PB&J sandwiches and the kids used a heart shape cutter to make their PB&J the shape of a heart. We then put on hats and pink boa's and had a parade through the Parish Hall and the kids eating lunch gave us an applause. Every one was so thrilled to get the attention. Once we got back to the room we danced with each other. They really enjoyed acting crazy with their friends. They were so tired and ready to take their nap. They had the candy corn bark for snack when they woke up. I didn't get pictures of some of the things since I am room mom I had to help out. But the pictures I did get, were worth it. It was a fun day full of love and friendship.

Making Valentine Cards
We had another snow day so we took that time to finish the girls Valentine's for school. They love to stamp and glue. I gave them four stamp sets to choose from and Presley chose the mouse and Brooke chose the boat. I knew exactly which ones they would choose. They colored them and punched out hearts and glued them on. I put them together and let them punch out a big heart and then they stamped their name on the heart and glued it to the back. They are my little crafty girls. Presley wore Brooke's headband because Brooke didn't want to wear it. She is so simple with her hair. She doesn't like it mess with it. What am I going to do with her. I have to brag on them today because they got along so well today and played so well together. It was a great snow day. But I am ready for it to warm up.

New Clothes
I bought theses new clothes the other day and Presley could not wait to wear them. I thought they were too cute and had to show them off. Prelsey's head band was one of my purchases on my girls trip. Doesn't she look adorable. I love it becuse it keeps her bangs out of her eyes. I will be glad when they grow out. Her hair grows so slow. After I looked at this photo I had to wipe down my fireplace because the finger prints were awful in the picture.

Girls Weekend In Glenrose
I had my annual girls trip over the weekend. We never thought we would make because of the snow. We were scheduled to leave on Friday. But we were not going to let a little snow stop us. We decided we would all ride together and that we did. Keri drove around the Metroples and picked everyone up. We were all so glad we decided to make the trip because the snow did start to melt and we made it. We talked, ate, shopped, laughed, and we all bought a pair of cowboy boots. Wait I forgot to mention we bought the same pair of boots. It was such a great deal we couldn't pass it up. I'm sure the girls in the boot store thought we were all nuts or dorks for buying the same boots. We didn't care we were all happy and after all isn't that all that matters. It was such a great weekend and so glad we braved the weather because it ended up being a great one. Gary was glad I was home in time for him to watch the Super Bowl. I was glad to get home and see the girls.
