This was the first pep rally of the year. The cheer uniforms were not in so we all wore our spirit shirts. As you can see they are all having so much fun. I wasn’t going to go to the pep rally but am so glad I did because the smile on these faces made my day. I love that they are growing up in such an awesome atmosphere and God is always present.

Back To School Picnic
It’s that time of year, school has started and the school activities are in full swing. The girls are cheerleaders this year and are so excited to be a part of such a fun group activity. I am also PTC President this year and so far am enjoying my new role. I’ll let you know if I feel the same way later in the year. We raised a lot of money for the PTC at our Bake Sale. It is always a fun night and so darn cute to watch the little ones take their annuals around to everyone to have them signed. Presley was really into it. Brooke had fun but got bored with it real quick.
Presley and Bella after their cheer.
See how precious they look. It totally brought back memories for me but we didn’t have annuals that young.
We had a few helpers at the end of the bake sale. It was such a great night and I love seeing the spirit of the school.

Kindergarten Bound
I truly cannot believe my babies are in Kindergarten. I am sad because they are no longer babies but happy I don’t have to do the baby phase anymore. But I will admit here on my blog, sometimes I miss that sweet smell when you would kiss their chubby cheeks and breathe in that sweet smell of baby.
Brooke has Mrs. B. and she was so excited to be in her class. She was more excited that she had Ryder and Maggie in her class.
Over the summer Brooke said, she wanted to be in Mrs. D. class again. I told her that Mrs. D doesn’t teach Kindergarten. She seemed to be okay with the idea of having Mrs. B.
Brooke came to me one day…
Brooke-Mommy I hope Bella is in my class
Me-Brooke, what if Bella isn’t in your class.
Brooke- That’s okay Mommy, I will meet new friends and besides I will still see her on the play ground.
I love that girl. She definitely put a smile on my face.
Presley has Mrs. P and her excitement was over Bella and Eva being in her class. She is going to well in Mrs. P. class.
Presley was thrilled with the tickets. If you get five tickets during the week, you get to go to the treasure chest on Friday. Little Miss Presley will do well with this task. She will be digging through the treasure chest every Friday. I heart that girl.
They both had a wonderful first day and are still excited about school. I hope it always stays that way.

Another Toothless Wonder
I picked the girls up from camp today and Brooke said, “Mommy I have to tell you something.” She said it so serious I thought maybe she had been in trouble at camp.
She said, my tooth is so loose it is about to come out. We were stuck in the pick up line so I asked her if she wanted me to pull it and she said, “yes.” I gave one little tug and it was out. It bled a little more than I wanted it to and it scared her a little but I informed her if she kept pressure on the area it would stop. We changed the tissue a couple of times and then she was fine, so fine she fell asleep with the tissue still in place. She is talking with a little lisp and that toothless grin is so darn cute.

It’s Camp Time
The day has finally arrived. Presley woke up on her own and came into our room saying, it’s Camp Thurman Day.
Brooke had to have Kitty in this picture. She loves that cat and picks him up constantly.
Here is the picture of Straylight their camp counselor this year.
My two sweet little campers waiting for their 2012 camp experience to begin.

Camp Thurman Open House
This was the start of our tour and the swing was a big hit.
Signs of scripture are planted all around the grounds.
This is where they meet to take a break and eat their lunch. These little areas are through out the camp.
This is the power pole and is for the big kids and our tour guide said she only gets as far as she has to go. All of the counselors have to try everything so they know how the kids feel and understand what they go through.
This is the big zip line and can be done by the little ones only on this day with their parents. The girls didn’t want to do it. They stuck with the smaller zip lines. We also ran into their counselor from last year, Trailmix. I was surprised she remembered them. Camp Thurman has 500 hundred campers each week. It was great to see her. Our counselor this year is Straylight.
We stopped for a bathroom break at the Red Sea.
Presley found a spot where she wanted her picture taken and had a sassy pose. I love that girl and her cute personality.
Rock Climbing
K-Climb and on the other side is a zip line.
Slap D-ball is a game you use your hands, no kicking, and you can’t slap the ball twice. Looks like fun to me.
This was Jordon Gulley and is definitely for the littler kids. This is the mini zip line and the only one you don’t have to wear a harness to ride.
Creation Place is where they do the crafts.
The counselors had a 30 minute lunch break and we ate lunch and headed back so we could do the other zip lines and we were the first to arrive to get our harness.
Because we were one of the first ones back I was able to take these pictures with no one around. These are all done with a harness.
Presley on the zip line. She first said she wasn’t going to do the zip line but she changed her mind.
Brooke was the one who was upset when she thought we weren’t going to do the zip line but was soon very excited when we told her we would eat lunch at Camp Thurman and go back to do the zip line. I would say the smile on her face says it all.
This was the last thing we did and it was called The Tarzan Swing. The higher you go, the longer you swing.
Brooke and Daddy swinging
Presley and I swinging.
Both of the girls didn’t want to go up to the highest point once they were raising us up they got a little scared but were fine once they were swinging and thought it was pretty fun. It was a great day and this camp will always be on our summer list of camps to attend.
