She Stops A Lot!

The girls went on a Four Wheeler ride tonight with daddy. It took them longer than normal and when Presley came home she had to show me all that she had collected while on her ride. She is my little collector. She cracks me up but if you're on the ride with her it can get a little annoying because she stops quite often to gather her goods. She has such a sweet spirit.

Happy Birthday Bailey!

Bailey turned 10 on Sunday and the girls were so excited to give him his Birthday Bone that we picked up on Saturday at Bark Avenue. He could hardly wait to get that bone in his mouth. They sang Happy Birthday to Bailey and the joy on their faces was so special. I am one lucky mother to have such loving girls.

Dirty Dozen Brass Band

We went to see The Dirty Dozen Brass Band which is a New Orleans Band. It reminded me of Jazz Fest and made me realize how happy that music makes me feel. Everyone was up dancing and enjoying the band. We couldn't have asked for better weather to spend time with special friends. Thanks Brenda for the pictures since I didn't bring my camera.

Teacher Gifts

Mrs. Lilley

Mrs. Benefiel

I made these canvases for the teachers as part of their gift. I made them similar because it was easier to do two of them at the same time. I really liked how they turned out. They both said they would hang them in their room next year. The girls really enjoyed  both of their teachers.

Last Day of School Swim Party!

Last day of school swim party. The girls had fun with all their friends but their feet were all scraped up from dragging them on the bottom of the pool. We did get a little sunburned because I forgot to reapply sunscreen. I feel like a bad mommy, so glad it wasn't a bad burn but definitely will not make that mistake again. I can't believe the school year is over and my girls are growing up. They both say they want to get bigger so they can wear make-up but I don't want them to get bigger. I wish they could stay this size for a little longer. The girls had two great teachers this year Mrs. Lilley and Mrs. Benefiel they will miss them but will see them next year. They are excited to be in Mrs. Dasners class next year.

Blackjack's Injury

The other day Brooke came to me and informed me that her horse Blackjack (same name as Gary's horse he had in highschool) had a hurt eye. I asked her what happen and she said, the Monster hurt Blackjack. She put a bandaid on the horse's eye and said she needed to take him to the doctor.
I just heard her exclaim, "Good job Blackjack," Presley come here Blackjack's eye is all better and we can take the bandaid off.
I love to hear the little imaginations at work while they play.

Painted Fingers And Toes

The girls spent the day with Mimi on Saturday while I had the class I donated for the auction. Mimi took them to have their toes and fingers painted. Brooke was so excited to show me her toes because they looked like watermelon. Presley's were polka dots. They had a great time with Mimi except for the mosquito bites they acquired. Prelsey has been scratching like crazy. Thanks Mimi for spending the day with the girls they had a blast. They are still talking about it.

Dance Recital 2011

My little dancers did so well at their dance recital. It is just a precious sight to watch them dance at this age. Presley seems to like dance a little more than Brooke. She is more of a perfectionist and wants to do it perfect. Brooke on the other hand just likes the cookies at the end.  But they both did wonderful and I am so proud of them.
