Yummy Ice Cream

We went to "On The Border" for lunch and can you say huge table. The girls were pretty good for having to stay in their high chair for two hours. The best part was Ice Cream at the end. As you can see Brooke and Presley loved it and it ended up all over them and the floor. Hey, better there than my kitchen. Of course, Josh, Clay and Jack were not complaining at all about the ice cream. Sorry Jamie and Maci I didn't get your picture eating ice cream. We met for lunch at 1:00 so I had to feed the girls before we left because they wouldn't have been able to wait that long. But they still ate everything in sight and still ate their dinner later on at home. They must be having a growth spurt.
Brooke can officially crawl up into her highchair and into her car seat. It makes me a little sad because she is growing too fast and becoming too big for her little britches already. Sorry for my reminiscing but looking at the pictures my little babies are looking like little girls. Then I look at Clay and Josh and realize they will be as big as they are real soon. Jack will be three on May 23 I just can't believe they are all growing up. It all goes by like a flash.
Well gotta get to bed. Goodnight!

Good Friends and Fun Day

This will be a short post because it is late. We had such a fun day today I couldn't resist posting some of my favorite pictures of the fun times. We went to lunch and ended up at the Scotish Rite Hospital Park. It is the best park, there is only one way in and out and it has a separate park for toddlers (yeah!). The girls had a blast. We skipped the afternoon nap just to go meet everyone and it was well worth the fun. The group photo of all the children is the best we could get. Some day we will get better photos, I guess when they are bigger and will listen(wishful thinking on my part). The girls were a little fussy when we got home but we fed them and bathed them and they went to bed at eight. I have been cropping and resizing my photos ever since they went to bed. Yes, I took a ton of pictures. I will show you more of them during the week. It was great to see everyone and hope the Kirchners have a safe trip home to Chicago. Goodnight!!

Miss Independent

Brooke loves to give us the cold shoulder. I wonder what goes through her mind. She is something else. Brooke has also become very independent. She tries to put on her shoes and she will take clothes out of the dirty close and put them on. I got this picture the other day of her putting on her pants over her pajamas. She wants to do things all by herself. Presley is just content playing or sitting in Daddy's lap. She has become a daddy's girl. She is starting to give Brooke a run for her money. I see her pushing on Brooke when Brooke is trying to grab a toy from her. They both get so frustrated that they will bang their heads on the floor or whatever is inf ront of them. Poor things are trying to communicate. I will be glad when they can use their words.
We are meeting friends for lunch so off to get ready.

More Cute Pics

These were some of my favorite pictures I took on Easter. I took so many that I have to share.
The girls are napping right now, so I thought I would post quickly. I don't really have much to say today. We took a walk this morning and played outside. We are going to get an electric gate put up for the girls safety and for our protection. I will be so relieved because it is really hard to keep them corralled while we are outside and Mama will feel much better about being outside. Presley has already got stuck under the neighbors gate. No worries she wasn't hurt but it scared me as well as her. It scares me that they can run out into the street. We have a long driveway but it only takes a minute for a child to run from you. Since I have two it is harder to chase both of them at the same time. I usually have to choose which one is in more danger. It is only going to get harder to keep them corralled as they get older because they will get faster. They don't understand right now so it makes it harder. Not sure when it will go in but I hope it is soon.
Have a great Wednesday!

Oh My Goodness

I went into the bedroom briefly and Gary called my name to come look at the girls and low and behold look what I saw. Can you believe these little angels (Huh!) Brooke was the instigator, Presley would not have climbed on the gate without seeing Brooke do it first. Brooke is my climber and Presley follows. I have to watch every move Brooke makes. She is even climbing on the chairs and climbing on the tables. We have removed the chairs in the kitchen because they are so light she can move them herself. The chairs in the dining room are too heavy but we make sure they are pushed in so she can't climb. Hmmm! My little monkey. We call them little monkies but never thought that it would fit them to a tee. Look how cute they look as sthey are being bad little girls. Heehee! Well quick post the girls and I are going to go on a walk.

My Little Bunnies

Here are a few pictures from Easter. I love the one of Presley. Those eyes just melt your heart.
Brooke's newest trick is shrugging her shoulders and we finally got a photo. She is a little toot.
The other photos are from the toys Grandma and Grandpa gave them for Easter. A school bus and a tractor w/ animals.
They love them. They walked around with the boxes on their head. I was glad I was able to get a quick shot. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa, we love you.
I had a training today in Waco and thank goodness the girls were good for Grandma. I was a little worried since they were such boogers this weekend.
A lady at swim lessons said that this stage can last until they are 2 1/2. But that age 3 is really fun. I hope it doesn't last that long but you know I will cherish every moment good and bad.
God Bless and good night.

More Slide Fun

Slide Fun

We had a fun day on the slide. I bought the slide second hand and it was in the garage. I decided to pull it out and show the girls how to slide. I didn't even have to show Brooke. She knew exactly what to do. She even knew to pull her legs out from under her and sit and slide. Amazing how their little minds work. Now, Presley on the other hand slid down on her tummy because she didn't know what to do. It was so funny to watch both of them. Presley eventually would sit and slide down any way she could go down and yes she fell quite a few times but never once cried. She was having a blast. I will post the pictures of Presley next. Brooke pushed Presley a few times because Presley was taking too long at the top of the slide. She is such a bully to her sister. I love all the pictures of Brooke. She is so determined in everything she does.

Happy Easter!!
It is a little cold to hunt Easter Eggs for the girls. I will have to do a mock one this week.
We are going to have dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Buck so they can give them their presents. We went to church this morning I will post pictures tomorrow. The pictures are not very good because it is still hard to get them together. At least I took some and I can tell them when they get older how hard it was to take pictures of the two of them. I have proof to show them.

Grandma's House

We went to visit Grandma yesterday. The girls had a lot of fun in her backyard. They played with rocks, broom, screen door, more twigs, and best of all their dog Charlie. I did pack some toys but never played with them because their little brains were soaking up everthing else. I should have known better. We went to eat at Chili's and the girls loved seeing all the babies and kids. They were entertained by watching everyone.
I am really starting to have a few issues with the girls. They love to play on the couches. I wish we would have never started it. Last night Brooke ran across the couch (which I don't let her) when I turned my back and fell and hit her head hard against the wall. She had a large knot on her forehead. It scared me to death. So, today I focused on making them SIT on the couch and I must have said it 30 times and did they get it. NO! The bad thing is that they can get up on the couch by themselves now.
How do I make them understand? I was worn out today. I think the terrible twos are beginning. The other issue is the outlets. I spanked Brooke's hand at three different outlets and let me tell you it was one after the other. She would cry and go to the next one. She was definitely testing me. After she finally realized she was not suppose to do it, Presley looked at me with a smile and touched it a few times. She is not as sensitive as Brooke. She knows she isn't suppose to do it and all the while she has a smurk on her face. I would say I have my work cut out for me. Gary has been reading this book and it says not to spank this young. I feel if it is going to harm them, then they need to realize I mean business.
If he would have been here today he would have spanked their little hands also. I want everyone to know I am only swatting their hands and not abusing them. Just in case anyone takes this the wrong way. Whew! What a day! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Easter.

Fun, Fun, And More Fun

Here are more pics from the park. Presley and her twigs that she wouldn't put down. Brooke loved all the babies. When they strolled away she started crying.

I got the girls some crocs and they are so cute in them. Brooke kept bending down to touch her new shoes. Uh Oh I think they will be shoe crazy like their Mama.

The last two pics are the girls playing and standing on Kaitlynns suitcase. They played with it the whole weekend and even got into it if Kaitlynn didn't shut it.

Sorry, for the short post but I am out of words tonight. I am not in the mood to post a long post.
Goodnight!!!

Easter Bunny

We went to an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday. The Easter Bunny was there and the girls wanted no part of sitting in his lap. We had to stand with them so they would get their picture made. We couldn't stay for the Egg Hunt because for one Brooke was fussy and we had to take Kaitlynn to a birthday party. I am so sad we missed the hunt because it was a perfect day except for being windy. I heard on the news it may rain on Sunday. Oh well, at least I got some pictures of the girls in their dresses.
Brooke would not put that big stick down. Presley had a bunch of little sticks. I call her my little gatherer. I will post more pics tomorrow of the park and their sticks.

Kaitlynn

We had an overnight visitor this weekend. Kaitlynn. The girls loved having her around. We colored Easter Eggs, went shopping, went to Gymboree, went to workout, played outside, went to an Easter party, and went to a birthday party. It was a fun weekend for the girls. I think Kaitlynn got a little bored at times but I think she enjoyed herself. Thanks Kaitlynn for helping us out and playing with the girls. Kaitlynn lives in Oklahoma. She teased Gary all weekend with her OU hat so we had to get a picture of the girls with the hat on, just for Gary. Of course, Brooke wouldn't leave hers on as usual. Gotta go more pictures later.
