Ice Cream At The Park

We met Brenda, Aleck and Ella at the park the other day. We were there for a short while when I heard the sound of an Ice Crem Truck. The girls didn't know what it was but I did and I wanted them to experience what I use to experience as a child. When I was little and you heard the music coming down the street every kid in the neighborhood would scurry home to get some money so you could enjoy the sweet treat of the summer. Times were so simple then. I had to let the girls enjoy that same treat and boy did they look like they had enjoyed every last lick of their popsicle. It was fun to watch them. They all had a fun time and burned lots of their endless energy.

Big Bubbles

We have had some beautiful days and such great weather. It was a great day to break out the new bubbles I had bought the girls. We had a little mishap at first because Brooke broke her bubble wand and was very disappointed until daddy fixed it. Whew! thank goodness for duct tape. It was so much fun to watch them laugh and play with each other. I love it when they play well with each other because lately they have been fighting over nothing. I guess that is the joy of children.
I am off to do some creating.

New York

My trip to New York was short but great. There was a light rain the first day I arrived but that didn't stop me from walking because I knew I could see more of the city on foot instead of a cab. So with umbrella in tow, Gary and I headed through the streets and on to many destinations. We were going to eat dinner in Little Italy so we walked through Soho,Chinatown, Greewnich Village, and of course I saw NYU and mentioned to Gary wouldn't it be cool if the girls went to school here and he didn't really like the idea of them going to NYU. I did because I told him I would love to come and visit frequently. Have I mentioned that I loved New York!
The Italian place we ate at was amazing. Thanks to our friends Ralph and Lorraine who recommended it and they use to live in New York. We went to Union Square to have coffee and dessert. It was a great time spent with my husband.
The next day Gary had to work so I went to Central Park and shopped on Fifth Avenue and saw Rockefeller Plaza. I walked and walked and walked. (I decided to wear my pedometer on that day and by the end of the night I had walked 10.2 miles. Yes, I was tired!)I met Gary about six at the Hotel and we left to buy the girls a surprise and had dinner in Times Square. I realized I could have done without Times Square after being on Fifthe Ave. all day. Too many people and a tourist trap. I use to think when I would watch New Years Eve in Times Square, how cool it would be to be there until I was there and witnessed the sights and realized I think I could take that off of my list of things to do before I die. We went to the Flat Iron Bar and a Roof Top Bar that were both very cool bars. I think my favorite was the Roof Top Bar and I did see the Empire State Building but wasn't really interested in seeing that on this trip, from a distance was fine with me.
The next and my last day Gary had to work so I walked around by the hotel and had breakfast and shopped a little more and headed to the airport around 11:00am. It was a fun trip but just made me hunger for more. My next trip I will definitely see a Broadway Musical and much more. It was a fun trip and was great to have some alone time with my husband. Thanks honey for letting me tag along on your business trip to New York. I love you! I realized when I was on the plane home that I only have the reflection picture of myself and the rest of the pictures are all scenery. Too funny!





Central Park was beautiful and I loved the people watching.

This was an appetizer we had at an awesome spot called "Bread" that Gary and I found. We stopped in to have some wine and almost ate dinner here because we loved the quaint atmosphere, definitely a spot I will stop in on my next trip to New York.

I loved the flags on the Park Plaza Hotel and the look of the whole building.

Dr Phil was taping a season premier in New York right outside of FAO Schwarz and of course I had to get a picture. They were not quite ready to start taping and of course I had too much to see in too little of time so I snapped my picture and continued to explore the wonderful city.

I stopped at a great place to rest and have some lunch in Rockefeller Plaza. I sat outside and enjoyed my glass of wine and just watched the people. Man, what a great city.

Feeding Their Babies

We have been spending a lot of time with Beebee, Aleck, and Ella, the girls have asked Beebee what she is doing when she covers up with Ella underneath. Beebee will say, "I am feeding Ella." I saw them doing this the other day and thought it was so adorable. I asked them what they were doing and they replied, "feeding our babies." It made my heart melt. I took my pictures and then just watched them play. It brought tears to my eyes because they are growing too fast and it was just so darn cute. They love Dora and Babies right now. If I don't watch them they will go through wipes and pull ups fast because they change their babies and tell me they are poopy and throw the new pull ups away with wipes inside of them. The other day I found five perfectly good pull ups in the trash and when I went to get them out, Presley said, "no mommy, they are poopy." I just chuckled and thought I will wait to take those out when she isn't looking. Pull ups are too expensive to waste. I am having so much fun with these two little girls. I love you Brooke and Presley.

First Day Of School

Hallelujah! School has started. The girls are loving their new class room and the new toys. They are the only girls with all boys. Brooke was being mother hen again to a little boy named Sammy. He was crying and she would go and pat him on the back. It really bothers her when someone is upset. She also told him that it was nap time and he needed to lay down on his mat. I hope she wasn't bossy but just letting him know the rules. She is so sweet to watch out for her other classmates. Presley loved playing with the babies and coloring. I asked them what they had for lunch and they said, "Mum Mums," which I know was not true because that is what they had for snack because they have a boy in their class with allergies and can only have certain things for snack. They seemed like they were glad to be back in school and Lord knows their Mommy was ready for school to be back in session. I love my children dearly and am absolutely so excited for them to experience new things and so glad they both love their new teachers and class.
