Dental Appointment

The girls had their dental cleaning and were such good patients. No cavities and they have a new found passion, flossing. They floss every time they brush their teeth. I will definitely have to post a picture of them flossing because it is adorable. Long pieces of floss and arms stretched, mouth open and fingers positioned for flossing, it is definitely a sight to see. They are growing up so fast.

Western Day

Today is Western Day at School. Brooke was sick on Wednesday and stayed home on Thursday. She was worried she wasn’t going to be able to participate in the dance. So glad it was a 24 hour bug. We bought them new boots at the Stock Show last weekend. They were so cute picking out the ones they wanted. They both chose boots that was opposite of their style, in fact I would have switched the two for the both of them. So funny how you think you know them and then they change. Definitely some cute little cowgirls.

More Western Day

Presley would not look at me as she was walking in but Brooke smiled at me. During the dance they were in the back where I couldn’t see them. So these are the few pictures I got. I should have been better about taking pictures at school but, it is what it is.

Crafting a Train

I was headed home on Thursday after picking up the girls from School. I called Brenda and they were headed to Spring Creek Barbecue and invited us to meet them. The girls were so excited to see Aleck and Ella. She then talked me into going to the Library to make a train with boxes, paper, paint, and markers. The girls love to paint and would do it everyday If I would let them. There were only three boxes and Brooke was happy to let Ella help her with her train.

Everyone was hard at work on their trains. I love watching my girls create. They painted their trains with a lot of color.

Ella was having her own little fun.

I love getting pictures with my girls and knew it would be the perfect opportunity.

Here are the finished trains.

Aleck wasn’t into painting because he didn’t want to get dirty. He is so darn cute, although Brenda thought differently that night.

Tom drew a circle on Aleck’s train and he was not happy about the circle. Needless to say Brenda gave him a paintbrush to paint over the circle and all was better.

Ella was adorable and loving every minute of the painting fun and fun it was to her.

Presley would barely look at me, so typical for her.

Oh wait, there is the pose I was wanting.

The smile on the box sums it all up. It was a fun night and full of smiles and laughter.

The lovely foursome after creating. I was glad we went because these are the days I am glad to say I am a mother.

New Years Day Dinner

We had our New Years Day Dinner at the Hurt home and it was a beautiful day so we had to get a group picture before the sun set. We had a few hacklers but I finally got the great group shot. But wait someone was missing. Where is Vic?

He came just at the right time to get in our group picture. It wouldn’t have been the same without him in the picture.

We had dinner in their newly renovated barn and JD had all of his trains out. He and his dad have been collecting them since he was little. He said some of them are from the 1920’s. It is an impressive setup. Gary got in on the fun and as you can see JD really enjoys showing everyone his collection.

Before we ate we have our New Years toast and the kids got sparkling grape juice. Presley and Brooke really loved the sparkling juice. I guess I will have to start the tradition myself because they were adorable.

It was fun to see all the kids together at one table and I think they enjoyed it as well.

We did have a trampoline injury. Ryan and Reid bumped cheek to eye and Reid had to go the the ER he got 4 stitches in his cheek and was so brave. This picture is before he left for the ER. He was not happy about having to leave the party. After he was finished with the ER the one question he asked was could they go back to the party. That Reid is one special little boy.
