Happy Birthday Hunter

We went to Hunter's 1st Birthday today and it was a fun and busy day. These were the only pictures  I got because I forgot to put my other charged battery in my camera bag so I had very little battery left.

They rented out the Recreation Center. The girls love to see Hunter. He loved all of his presents and wasn't that into the cupcake but I think it had a lot to do with all the people. There was too much going on. After the party we put our swim suits on and went swimming and of course the girls were like little fish. Four days of swim lessons and they are swimming so well. It's hard to believe that they have picked it up so fast. Then after swimming we went to Papaw and Mamaw's house and once again they had a blast. They helped Papaw feed the catfish. Man, he has a ton of catfish in his pond. They played outside for awhile while daddy worked on Papaw's tractor. We then went to see Jaime's new house and the girls got to play with Colt Alexya and Lillie again. After all of this we decided to go to Babe's to have some chicken. It was just the four of us. Brooke and Presely love to go to Babe's and do the Chicken Dance. Brooke got up and danced to the YMCA and did really well. We never made it to the Chicken Dance because they started to melt down during dinner and we had to leave. I didn't even get to finish my meal. Oh well, I didn't need the extra calories. The joys of motherhood. The girls fell asleep on the way home. It was such a fun filled day and it sure would be nice if they slept late but they never do. It's a shame I didn't get pictures of the rest of the day.

Popcorn Anyone!

I took the girls to their first movie. I know I should have done it sooner but I needed to have a buddy system because the girls go to the bathroom so much and never at the same time. We met Cari, Lauren, Grant, Brenda, AJ, and Ella at the movie theater to see Toy Story 3. The girls loved it but were a little sad at the end and Brooke got a little closer to me during parts of the movie. She was a little squirmy at times but really enjoyed the movie. We did make three trips to the restroom so thank goodness for friends so I didn't have to interrupt any movie watching for my sweet girls. I think Brooke's favorite part was the popcorn and Presley's favorite part was the M&M's. I can't believe it was a first movie for everyone that is why we decided to take the picture. Thank you Brenda for bringing your camera. I was originally going to take the girls to NRH2O but had lost my voice the night before and didn't feel it would be a safe bet since I couldn't talk. The movies were definitely a better choice.

Donuts with Poppy

The school had Donuts with Daddy for Father's Day. Daddy couldn't make it because he had a meeting that morning so Poppy went instead and the girls were so excited. They were shy at first but then warmed up and began to be themselves. They laughed and played and had a great time. Thank you Poppy for stepping in that morning the girls talked about it all day.

A Tim Holtz Weekend

The Great American Scrapbook Convention was last weekend. I was so excited to go because Tim Holtz was going to be in the Stampers Anonymous booth. I went on Thursday but didn't bring my camera so Brenda and  I went back on Saturday with camera in tow. Of course I had to get another picture with Tim and then some pictures of him hard at work creating. The picture with him digging in a small suitcase is his new container that holds his Ideaology that will be coming out in Jan. Pretty cool huh! The last photo is a tag he made while demonstrating and I asked for it. Oh, and he signed the back for me. I have two creations by Tim now.  I love the real shadows from the sun on the picture. I think it adds to the eery feeling of the art. Tim is so gracious and obviously loves what he does. I could watch him all day and on Thursday I did and loved every minute of it. It was great to see him. He talked about his 2011 cruise to Alaska. I came home and told Gary it would be the trip of a lifetime for me and he said, "what would I do?"

I told him he only does classes while at sea and the rest of the time, we do what we want while on land.  Alaska would be the only cruise I would want to go on and what could be better if Tim Holtz was on the same boat teaching classes. I heart Tim Holtz. Keep your fingers crossed Gary will want to cruise to Alaska.
