The Tent

Gary and I went to a sale this week called Divine Consign. We bought some gently used clothing for the girls but the best find was this Igloo Tent. It was never opened and the price was right ($5.00) Brooke and Presley love it. The first thing Presley did was crawl in and start rubbing her legs back and forth. I think she liked the way it felt and the noise it was making. Brooke was a little hesitant to crawl in, once she was in she was fine, they were both precious. They really interact with each other a lot these days. It is so sweet to hear them laugh at each other. That just brings a tear and a smile to my face. I cannot believe how fast it is going. I was in Gap today and ran into a lady, pregnant with twin girls. I remember this time last year I was MISERABLE. I would go through it all again just to have these sweet girls. (ughhh! Can you believe I just said that) It's a good thing I had those feelings early on in the day because right after that Presley had a melt down and I didn't get to finish my lunch. Oh, the joys of motherhood. Once I got her in the car she was fine, of course. I do need to tell you that when we are out and the girls are in the stroller their rolls are reversed. Brooke just looks at evereyone and evereything and Presley wants to get out of the stroller. She will arch her back and start crying. It amazes me how the rolls change sometimes.I know, now that they are mobile they don't want to be confined. But all in all it wasn't too bad of a day. Things could be worse. I am really excited we are going to go to Gymboree on Sat., the first time in three weeks because they were sick. I guess I should say if Presley is better by then. We are also going to go to church on Sun. I went and checked out the nursery and of course it is fine. I am so ready to get back into the routine of church. It just makes me feel better when I am going on a regular basis. The best thing is we are going to a birthday party on Sat. night. Another night out, I can't wait. The girls really love to see their Grandma. She is coming over tomorrow so I can get a pedicure. Whew! My feet are looking bad. Time to myself!!!!! Wow! I am chatty Cathy tonight. I must be off to get ready for the day tomorrow. Goodnight.

New Toy

I can't believe my girls are 10 months old.
Aunt Kellie came over today and brought the girls a new toy, a walker. Brooke loves it and has already mastered it. Presley walked with it a little tonight, but she is slower and more cautious. They both love boxes they will push them around the house. Our new game is High Five. I will say "High Five and they will raise their hand up like they are waving or if my hand is there they will touch their hand to mine. Presley has been having attachment issues. She wants to be held by Mama. I am hoping it is because she still isn't well. We went back to the doctor today because she still has a cough. We got some antibiotics and we still have to give breathing treatments, because the rattling in her chest. She is better but not totally well. I am hoping she will be better next week. Poor thing she just keeps her illneses around a lot longer than her sister. We started going to Gymboree and I think that is where they are catching all their sicknesses. Thanks for visiting.

Look At Her Go

Well it's Brooke again, she pushed that chair all around the kitchen and walked right behind it. Daddy recorded it on video. So cuuttteee!!! She will definitely be walking soon. I guess we better get the rest of the baby proofing done around the house because little Miss Brooke will be into more, once she starts walking. Presley is starting to pull herself up again. I think she saw her sister and realized she better get busy. Brooke is more active but Presley says more. Their personalities are so different and I love them both the same. Have a great weekend.

And There Is Presley

Here is little Presley. She has suddenly stopped standing, she must have fallen hard on her bottom one too many times. She could care less about standing. She will do it if I place her and be right there with her. Her bottom must be bruised. Well it is time to feed. Bye for now.

Oh My Goodness

This happened all today. I went to change Presley and found Brooke on top of the Huggies box (too bad it wasn't turned where you could see the name I could 've sent it to Huggies). This evening after we bathed them they were playing in their room and I left for a split second and Gary came in and found Brooke standing in the rocking chair. I won't be able to leave her alone any more. She is obviously not afraid of anything. I have my work cut out for me. She is my little monkey. I took them to Sam's today and they rode in the double cart and thought they were on top of the world. They were so cute and loved looking at everything and everyone.

The Big Bathtub

Look at my sweet little girls. I gave them their first bath in the "big bathtub" tonight. They loved it and were really good, which I know is short lived. Gary was a little nervous but he survived. It was hard to get them to both look at me because they were exploring or playing with their toys. I guess we have to go get more bath toys. It was such a beautiful day today. I have been taking the girls on a walk after their breakfast. They love to look at everything. Brooke is a little nosey. She will stare at people and follow them as they walk by. Presley just lounges in the stroller and takes it all in, Brooke is on the edge of her seat the whole time. She doesn't want to miss a thing. It is still so surreal that I have these two lovely angels. I pray everyday they will live a wonderful life and grow up to be someone. Most importantly that they live a Godly life. Thanks for visiting.

Snow Buddies

I made this card the other night and am just now posting it. I love these little penguins. I may have to use this stamp for one of my christmas cards. I bought this stamp at Michaels it is by Stampendous (Snow Buddies). The sentiment stamp is Rubber Soul. I love the font and that it fits on the Stampin Up large oval punch. My CB is Old Olive. I also used Real Red, Whisper White and Soft Sky. My DP is Basic Grey Blitzen! I love these colors together. If you haven't noticed my favorite color is Old Olive and I am almost out of the paper so I will be placing an order soon. I colored in the penguins with my new Prisma Color Pencils and Gamsol. I need to practice coloring but I can tell you already I am going to like the pencils. I also used Stickles on the snowflakes. The ribbon is the Martha Stewart tafta ribbon. I used Stazon Black ink. This card is simple now that I have posted it I realize I should have added more stuff. Oh, well, my time was limited. Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday

Here is a photo of Gary and I before we left for dinner last night. We went to Del Friscos and had a great dinner. I even turned down desert, after fitting into an 8 I had to stay motivated. We then went and met friends at 8.0 and a great band was playing it was a lot of fun but of course we had to leave at 10:30 and I wasn't ready to leave. I was having so much fun but duty calls we had to get home. Thanks to Pat and Bucky for babysitting the girls last night. It was wonderful to have an evening out with my husband. we are going to take the girls to Grapefest today because it is such a beautiful day. Have a great day.

Sweetness

Too cute! Brooke is walking around the furniture as she holds on, she will be walking soon. Presley keeps doing something until she accomplishes it. She doesn't give up.
Hubby and I are going out to dinner tonight for my birthday. I am so excited to get out just the two of us. I went shopping today because I had to find something to wear and I can fit into a size 8. I can't believe that. I was so excited I screamed out in the dressing room and everyone started to laugh that heard me. I have lost a total of 13 pounds. Wow I am down 2 sizes. If that isn't motivation I don't know what would be. I didn't gain anything after the retreat. I stayed the same. I was sure I gained but I didn't.
My hubby also said I could buy the Cricut, Yahoo!!!!! He is the most wonderful husband, but there is a catch he wants to go on a hunt for a week. I told him of course he could go if I get the CRICUT. Whatever works right. Just had to give everyone my good news. Have a wonderful weekend. Happy Birthday to me. This is the best birthday ever.
