More Art Fest

Here are more photos of the Fest. The first picture Gary and I were laughing so hard because in front of us was Clay and he was dancing and it was the cutest thing ever. Look, even Presley was pointing at Clay. I was trying to get Rita to look at her son because he was adorable. Check out the photos below. I love the innocence of children!
The picture of Brooke with daddy was an adorable moment also. She took his hand and was running around him as fast as she could go and let me tell you she can run fast. She was definitely having a wild moment. It seems like she has a lot of those lately. But, I love those wild moments and all that comes with them. Gary and I figured this would be a night that we could skip the bath. Well, let me tell you, they were filthy and no way were they going to bed that dirty.
Brooke fell asleep on the way home but we woke her and bathed her immediately and off to bed they went. I can never go to bed dirty so I surely wouldn't expect my wonderful children to do the same. I had to wash their Crocs in the dishwasher. Those shoes were the best invention because they are perfect for kids.
Presley has really started to talk a lot of baby talk lately and it is precious. I don't know what she is saying but she sure seems to know and I guess that is all that matters right now.
Have a wonderful week. 5 days and counting until my retreat!

Art Fest

Well, here are the pics from Art Fest. We had a great time. It was very crowded but once we found a place to sit it was much better. It wasn't easy pushing two double wide strollers in the crowded streets. But we managed. We ate, listened to a band, danced, and most of all laughed. The girls were good had to chase them down a couple of times but all in all, I think they were great. This nice man had a bird and it was very gentle. (Jake was his name) you can see him in the first picture on Gary's shoulder. The kids really enjoyed touching the bird.
I love the picture of Clay and Josh. Their hats and sunglasses were too cool.
I really love the pictures of the girls with their daddy because we hardly get photos with them and Gary didn't close his eyes. He is usually hard to photograph. Of course I got a photo with Presley but missed getting one with Brooke. It was really hard to take great pictures when we had to watch two sets of twins. I had my camera out for a while then gave it a break so I could manage my children. Daddy was a little busy, I think he needed a break. Thanks again Rita and Alan for another fun trip to Art Fest. I think for me next year will be a little easier. I will post more pics tomorrow or early next week.

Sitting Pretty

Brooke and Presley love to sit in the big chairs now. I let them but as soon as someone stands in the chair they have to get down and can you guess who does it first! That's right, BROOKE.
Presley loves to play with the blocks. She loves for me to bounce them all around in the container and say, "Pop, pop, pop" and slowly make them come out of the container (like popcorn). She will bring the blocks to me and shake the container and of course I know what she wants. But I sure will be glad when they can use their words. We are working on it but it just takes time.
I love the picture of Brooke looking around from the chair. Her expression is priceless.

We went to Gymboree this morning and the girls had a fun time. We are meeting the Mathis family at Arts Fest in Ft. Worth. We went with them last year. Gary and I have gone for a while now and we usually don't like to miss it. So I will have lots of pictures tomorrow. The girls are napping so I must get our stuff together for our outing. It is such a beautiful day I hope everyone is enjoying the 80 degree weather. Don't forget your sunscreen!

Upside Down

Presley and Brooke love to be "Upside Down." They will put their heads on the floor and sometimes scoot across the floor. The things kids will do, just cracks me up.
They also love to look at books and for mama to read to them. I can never finish a book and that
irritates the anal side of me. I can't help it. I know there will be a day when I will have to read them over and over and then I will think back to this post and wish I was back in time. Isn't that the sweetest picture of Brooke. It doesn't last long because in the next pictures she is standing on the picnic table which is a NO! NO! But of course I had to get my picture before I took her down. Presley was following suit so we took down the umbrella and the fun was over.
Grandma has been in Florida all week and she comes back tomorrow and the girls have missed their grandma. Tonight is neigborhood Pokeeno so I must get my stuff together.
Have a wonderful evening.

Bye Bye

The girls love to wave at people either hello or bye bye. Their little waves are so adorable. This is Brooke waving hello to mama. She had just woke up from her nap and was being so cute. we got to spend some alone time.
Presley woke up shortly and joined her sister eating raisins. I don't understand what it is about the remote that they always are attracted to it. Presley looks like her daddy holding the remote.
She was loving that, I let her have it for awhile, until Brooke stole it from her. Presley was not happy when that happen.
I am so excited because I leave for a retreat next Friday. I cannot wait! I plan on leaving around noon. Gotta get ready for my day tomorrow. Goodnight!

Shoes x 2

The girls were playing with my shoes and Brooke loves to put shoes on all by herself. Which she did and Presley had to follow, so daddy helped her put on one of mommies shoes and they walked around for quite sometime. Presley was really good at lifting it high enough to follow in step. Brooke wasn't as good but found an alternative, she grabbed the shoe laces and walked around holding them. They were having so much fun.
Brooke's clothes are wet from her trying to use the water dispenser on the fridge. I forget to lock it sometimes and she will go and put her sippy up to the lever and get her and the floor wet. I need to learn to lock it. She also will climb up into a chair at the table if you don't push it under the table, another thing I am terrible about remembering. She is so cute. She will sit there like a big girl.
They have learned how to open the trash compacter and will throw things in it. I have to check it before we empty it to make sure nothing important was thrown away. We need to replace it because it is the original compactor and it doesn't have a lock. Yuck! It is nasty so I try to tell them, yucky so they won't go near it. It hasn't worked yet and probably never will until they are older.
Well gotta go. I am going on a retreat on the 25th so I need to start organizing my stuff because my craft room has become the room where I dump everything until I have time to do something with it. It is a mess right now.

No More Hands

Well, Brooke is eating with utensils now and has mastered it well. If I try to help her she will turn her head to the side and refuse to open her mouth. She has to do it! Presley still likes to eat with her fingers. I thought Presley would be the first to eat with utensils because she is so good with her fingers. They surprise me all the time. They also switch rolls a lot. So you cannot guess who will be doing what.
I was looking back at photos the other day and can't believe how long their hair is getting. Presley's is really fine and tangles easily and Brooke's has a little curl to it. I love the curl but she probably will not.
Gotta go the girls just woke up.

Outside Play

I know I posted yesterday about Presley finally mastering the slide but I had to show this one picture. I have been trying to get this evil look of hers. Everytime she gives Gary or I this look we crack up laughing. It doesn't seem like such a look can come from such a smiling and sweet girl. What do you think?
Brooke has her bucket and is collecting anything she can, leaves, sand, rocks, and whatever she feels like putting in her bucket.
They are playing so well together. They play, Ring Around The Rosie but haven't quite got the falling down part yet. As you can see, Brooke leads the way and Presley follows. I have a feeling this will be the norm with the two of them. They really do have their own language and it is adorable to watch them. I love to sit back and watch them communicate with each other. I wonder what they are saying sometimes. I am so glad I am able to be there to witness all these cute moments. Thank you Gary for allowing me to stay home with our children. I love you and cherish every moment.

Little Miss Presley

I took these photos on Monday night while Brooke was at swim lessons. Presley didn't go because she had a rash all over her back and it was moving around to the front. I took her to the doctor and he said it was probably from laundry detergent. He gave me a Rx for a cream. We had a ball, just the two of us. Presley loves to pick leaves and flowers. She will bring the leaves to me or put them in her bucket or on her picnic table. She will even slide with a handful of leaves. She is too funny. I have to tell you she finally can slide down the slide the right way. We don't have to help her any longer. She knows it too because when she slides she is all smiles and when she reaches the bottom she smiles even bigger and gives a little laugh. Cutie Patootie!!!

A Beautiful Sunday

We went to Granbury to see Uncle Dave and Aunt Dottie's new house. It is so peaceful where they live. The girls loved climbing in and out of the golf cart. Brooke liked riding in the cart but Presley didn't like it so much. They took her for a ride but had to turn around because she started crying. Brooke is eating a cookie in the picture and let me tell you she would not put it down for anything. Miss Presley picked the bluebonnets, thank goodness it was okay with Dottie and David that she pick their flowers. She loves to gather things and put them in a safe place. Grandma and Grandpa Buck came over as well as Jason, Judy and Papaw. It was a beautiful day and great to see everyone.
The girls really enjoyed the day. They were pooped and slept very well that night.

I love the picture of Brooke sliding down the slide on her belly. She had some rose petals in her hand and let them go down first then she slid down herself and collected the petals when she was finished. Her face is just so adorable in that photo.
Goodnight!
