Yummy

I just had to post all my favorite popsicle pictures. The picture of the two of them with their mouths open is right before we gave them their popsicle. They didn't know what to think.
I love the one where Presley has hers on the ground. She was so cute with her popsicle. I don't think she ate very much of it but she sure did enjoy playing with it. The picture where Brooke is putting her hands together is her sign for more. We had just taken her popsicle away because we thought she was done and obviuosly she wasn't finished. She wasn't too upset. We gave them a quick water hose bath and took them inside and boy were they tired. The girls went to bed and they were out as soon as their heads hit their pillows. Oh, to be a kid again. I would love to experience all that they are experiencing again.
I have a feeling we will be in the sprinkler alot this summer. After the last couple of days it might be everyday. Well, I am off to bed. Thanks for looking. :)

So Much Fun

Clay and Josh came over on Sat. We had so much. We ate watermelon, played in the sprinkler, had a wagon ride and the girls had their first popsicle. Presley was a little more reserve with hers. She held it for the longest and would barely lick it. Then she would touch it to the ground. Brooke was all into the popsicle. She was in heaven. It was a fun day and everyone played well together.

Water Fun

I went to Target the other day and decided the girls needed a water sprinkler. I found one and I named him Mr. Wiggle. They absolutely had a blast. I took so many pictures that I couldn't pick so I posted a bunch. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. We played in the sprinkler two days in a row. I wasn't going to let them play tonight but they found Mr Wiggle in the garage and guess what they played in the water. These are the battles I love. It was so much fun watching them. I think I had a permanent smile on my face. I just can't believe how much I enjoy watching them explore and see things for the first time. They are really getting to a fun stage and I find myself wanting things to slow down so I can enjoy these moments for a bit longer. They grow so fast. The picture of Presley holding her nose is so cute. She just learned that today. I was holding my nose and saying, "shoo wee," and she started doing the same thing. It's amazing how fast they learn. Their little brains are like sponges. The girls start Mother's Day Out on Monday. I am beside myself with joy. I hope that doesn't sound too bad but I am ready for a break and some ME time. I dearly love my children but I totally understand why people say stay at home moms have the hardest job. But it is worth every dirty diaper, every whiny child, every hug and kiss, every smile, every frown, all the food flying, all the extra work, all the time, and all the love to stay at home with my two precious girls. Well enough of my babble I am tired and must get to bed. Goodbye!

little Swimmers

Here are a few more photos from Sun. The first two pictures are when we first put them in the pool. They wouldn't let go of their watermelon as you can see. They loved swimming and had a blast. They slept through the night and even slept til 7:45 the next morning. They were wore out. This is a short post because I have a lot to do tonight. Thanks for looking.

Yummy Watermelon

We had a wonderful family weekend. We had Grandma and Grandpa over for dinner on Sun. The girls went swimming in our pool for the first time this year. I must say they love to swim, the water was a perfect temperature to match the hot day. I absolutely love these pictures of the girls eating watermelon. Brooke should have turned into a watermelon as much as she ate, she had 6 pieces of watermelon. she even took it into the pool because she wouldn't let go of it for a minute. She LOVED it! Presley likes it but not as much as Brooke. She would just hold hers and lick on it. She did eventually eat it later. Mind you this is not the first time they have eaten watermelon but it is the first time it hasn't been cut up in pieces. I love all the photos but my favorite is the side view of Brooke eating the melon. I don't know why, but, it is. I took so many pictures so I will show you more over the next couple of days. It was a fun filled weekend. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did and made lots of memories.

More Birdie

These are the pictures I promised you from the bird sanctuary. I put the photos of Presley in order in the previuos post of how it happened. The first photo she tried to grab the bird, the second she was grabbing the feed stick and the third the bird flew from the feed stick, the expression on her face is adorable. It is hard to see because the birds wings were flapping in front of her face but it is visible. Brooke held the feed stick up but as I told you before she would drop it when a bird landed on it. Too funny! I think the bird sanctuary was my favorite part of the zoo. Most of the animals were not as active and boring, maybe it was the time of day. The monkeys were playing some but still not as much as I have seen in the past and they are always my favorite. Brooke and Presley love making the monkey sound. Please be sure to look at the previous post also because I had too many pics to post in one post so I had to split it up in two posts. Have a wonderful Memorial Day.

Here Birdie, Birdie

The Zoo

We took the girls to the zoo on Thurs. and it was hot but we had a breeze so it wasn't so bad. they really enjoyed the outing. We went late so it was not crowded at all, as you can see in the photos there were no people in the background. They loved walking around. They would get so excited and just run. They loved the monkeys, penguins, birds and giraffes. We took them into the bird sanctuary and let them feed the birds. Brooke would pull her stick away or drop it all together. But Presley was much braver, she would try to grab the bird when it would land on her stick. She was a little afraid when one of the birds flapped its wings as it left the stick but other than that she had a blast with the birds. It just cracks me up to think of their personalities because I would have thought Brooke would be the brave one because she is so much like a boy. Brooke is also afraid of people in costumes and loud noises(thunder). I have more pictures to show you especially of the birds. I took some pics of the animals but I forgot my big lens so they were just okay. I would much rather take photos of my little angels instead of the animals. My sweet little girls are not so little anymore. They are already one and a half years old. They are starting to look like little girls and the baby is leaving them. It makes me sad.
Well, enough sadness I am off to bed. Thanks for looking.

Box Fun

We still had their first car seat box in the garage and decided to let the girls play in them before we threw them away. They had so much fun, as you can see they took a blanket and their babies as well as the rest of the toys on the floor. We turned the boxes upright and played Peek-A-Boo and Brooke enjoyed that the best.I didn't get any photos of them playing with them upright. I should have because they were so adorable. What was I thinking, no pictures. It was all fun and games until they started climbing on top of the boxes and falling off of the boxes. They played with them so much that the boxes couldn't hold them anymore because they were starting to cave in when they would sit on them. The next morning they still wanted to play in them. I would say they thoroughly enjoyed Box play.

Pretty Flowers

We went to Southlake Town Square on Sunday. The girls love the flowers and yes, they still pick them and will not leave them alone. Daddy was telling Brooke to stop picking the flowers and she looked up at him and continued picking the flowers. They also have realized they can reach the water in the water fountain. I will post those pictures another day. We went to eat at Rockfish and I ordered fish sticks for the girls and Presley loved them. I haven't seen her eat that much in a long time. They both ate really well including some of the crayons they gave them with their menus. While we were there we saw 8 week old twin girls and 9 week old twin boys. I am so glad I am where I am now and not in their boat with the lack of sleep. But it did make me miss the baby stage for a brief moment then I got my wits about me and came back to reality. All in all we had a fun weekend and the girls experienced lots of new things.
Goodnight!
