Tutu's

I saw these adorable tutus at Gymboree and couldn't resist them because they were only $8.00. My first thought was for play clothes but then I was thinking if I find the right shirt I could use them for Easter. Knowing me I will probably find something else for Easter but these I could not pass up for the price. The girls absolutely love them. I think they even have the twirling down. What is it when you put a full dress or skirt on a child and they immediately begin to twirl. The innocence of children is so refreshing.

Bathtime Bubbles

I put bubbles in the girls bath for the first time the other night. Presley was so excited. Brooke was excited but not as much as Presley. I don't know why I haven't done this sooner. It's the little things that make such a difference in a child's eyes. I guess I should look through their eyes more often.
The girls have had a horrible cough, no fever just a cough. I took them to the doctor twice this week. We are doing breathing treatments and humidifiers to help.
The doctor says it could take 15-20 days for the cough to get better and it will get worse before it gets better. On top of that Presley has an ear infection. They don't act sick. They just cough a lot.
We are suppose to go to "Baby Loves Disco" tomorrow. We will just have to see how much they are coughing tomorrow.
Thanks for looking. I am tired and off to bed.

Boomerang

We found a new fun place real close to home. Boomerang! It has bounce houses and slides. The girls absolutely loved it. The first one Brooke went into was a maze. She was in their for a while and when she finally came out she had big crocodile tears. I think she couldn't find her way out and it scared her. I felt so sorry for her. But once she was over the anxiety of the maze she was all over the place. It really surprised me because she went down a big slide and loved every minute of it. I swear she went down it 20 times. Presley was slow to warm up to everything. She watched and then decided she would go down the big slide and she was the same way. They both shocked me at their bold little personalities. I love the action shot I got of both of them going down the slide and especially the one of Presley right after she slid down the slide with her big smile and her hands in the air. I love the one of Brooke and Daddy. We had so much fun we went on Sunday also. all the pics are from Sunday because I forgot my camera on Saturday when we met Aleck and BB.
I love this place because it is small enough I could do itby myself with both girls.
The girls had a blast with Erin. She would give them a ride on her back and they would both say, "Me turn, Me turn" when she was finished with each other. It was precious to see them interact with Erin. Thanks Erin, for being such a big help.

Booty

The girls wanted to eat their snack in their room the other day so I had to snap these pictures. They love to eat Pirate's Booty but will call it "booty". They will say, "more booty please." It makes me laugh but the other day we were in public and they were wanting more "booty" and saying it loudly. I got a few looks so I think I should call it popcorn in front of them. I hope I can break them of saying, "booty."
I am such a bad mother teaching my children such words.
I am so sad because my retreat is the end of Feb. and I am not going to be able to go because Gary will be in China. :( I had been planning what I was going to work on during that time. So sad. I guess I will have to save it for next time. I will miss all of you. For those of you going it will be quieter since I won't be there.
Have a great week!

Chuck E Cheese

We went to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese on Saturday. Happy Birthday Cash! The girls had so much fun. Their little heads were going side to side so fast trying to check everything out as soon as we walked in the door. This was their first trip to Chuck E Cheese. They absolutely had a blast. Presley cried when we had to go back to the table for pizza. She was okay once I told her we would go back to the rides. They loved the "Bob The Builder" ride. Brooke and I played Skeeball well, I guess I played Skeeball. She would throw it and yes, I said throw and it would roll back down
to us. It was hard to keep her from throwing one ball at a time. At one point I had four balls coming back at me. I'm sure it was quite humorous to watch. It was great to see the girls having so much fun. They kept their distance from Chuck E Cheese though. They would wave at him but wouldn't touch him. It was a fun party and they both fell asleep in the car on the way home.

Look Mom

The girls are really becoming independant. They love to peel their own oranges now. Brooke will say, "Me do, me do". I can barely get it started for them. They are truly growing up.
Brooke is becoming such the little hugger and kisser. Mrs. Kari, her teacher, says she is the little mother of the class. Presley has always been a lovey child. I love it when I pick her up and she will lay her head on my shoulder. It makes me want to squeeze her to pieces.
Sorry for the short post but I am trying to get ready for the Divine Consign sale and it is taking up all my time.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Baby Lillie

The girls love babies and at Christmas they loved seeing baby Lillie. They really thought they were something special when they got to have her sit in their lap. They were so sweet and it was so cute to watch them with Lillie.
Presley has been much better and hasn't been throwing her little fits. They both are really starting to talk a lot. They make me laugh all the time now. They are so precious. They both have spent some time in "Timeout" because of hitting or biting. But on the other hand they will walk up to one another and hug each other. They will also ask where the other one is if they are not in the same room together. It is just the beginning of the love, hate relationship. I hope there is more love than hate.
I had to post this card I made for Rita's birthday. I was so excited because I used some stamps and techniques from Tim Holtz 12 days of Christmas Tags. This is a funny story for the crafters out their that know Tim Holtz. My friend Rita works for Michaels Corporate and called me one day and said, There is a guy, Tim Holtz at corporate today demoing his products, should I go see him." Of course, I said, "Yes, you will love him." She went to see him and loved him. I thought it was funny because she didn't know who he was and had to call me. I told her he is one of my favorite people in the crafting industry. So that is why I had to make a card for her with his techniques and products. It was not my usual birthday card but I loved the way it turned out.
My New Year's Resolutions are
1. Read my Bible more
2. Lose 10 pounds and workout.
3. Focus on the girls scrapbooks.
4. Learn more with Adobe Photoshop Elements
5. Be more creative and productive.
6. Be a better wife and mother.
7. Get organized in all aspects of my life.

I wrote them down because it makes me more accountable.

Christmas 2008

Photo Mosiac compliments of Big Huge Labs

Brooke woke up first and saw the grocery carts and started screaming, of course a happy scream. Then she started calling "sissy." It was so cute. Presley slept a little longer but not much longer. Presley wasn't as excited because it takes her awhile to wake up but once she woke up she started playing with all the toys.
They got grocery carts, babies, Elmo, trains, little people castle, scooters, and a bunch of little things. Presley started eating her chocolate from her stocking as soon as she saw it she opened 4 pieces of chocolate and was putting it in her mouth and holding the rest, so some of it melted in her hand. She was a mess. Christmas morning is the only time they can have candy for breakfast.
We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and that was the most important thing that they realize why we celebrate Christmas.
Mimi, poppy, uncle David, and aunt Dottie came over later and we had brunch. It was a fun day but we missed seeing Yaya and Jack. They were in Florida but we made sure to call them and wish them a Merry Christmas.
I am glad it is over but I will always cherish the memories we made with our children.
We wish everyone a year filled with joy.
Happy New Year!

P.S. I almost forgot to tell you that Gary said I could update my kitchen for Christmas. He's the best husband ever. I love you and thank you honey.

Christmas with Clay and Josh

I know I am so behind with posting but the holidays have just kept me busy. The girls are out of school and have needed my attention most of the time.
We went to the Mathis house to exchange gifts. The girls had a lot of fun with the boys toys. I love the picture of Presley hugging the snowman. That smile will just melt your heart. She has been better about throwing her little fits. Thank goodness.
Brooke loved the work bench. She wouldn't leave it alone, that is until Clay and Josh got out all their train stuff. She loves trains! All of the kids played well together and had fun. We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends.

A Handsome Group

Josh, Rita and Clay on Rita's Birthday

brunch at 4910 for Rita's birthday. Great food, a must for your dining out list of places to have lunch.

I just had to post these pictures because I loved all of them. Another great day at the park.

You are not going to believe this, but Brooke sat on Santa's lap at school. I have a picture to prove it but it is not digital so I won't be able to post on my blog. I couldn't believe it when I saw it, of course, she isn't crying but she isn't smiling either. I guess the fourth time was the one. She must have done it because the other kids did it. I don't carre at least che did it.
Saturday was Rita's Birthday and we met at a resturaunt off of Mckinney in Dallas called 4910. It was Delicious! Everything was wonderful but the best part was the company and spending time with girls. It is so hard to take time out but I realized it is important to take the time with friends. It was the perfect mix of girls and the day was fun. Happy Birthday Rita, it was great to spend the day with you. I took the whole day and had a me day and I definitely needed it. The girls are off til Jan. 5 and I think I will probably pull my hair out or add some more gray hair to my head. I think this week will be the hardest because next week they will have new toys to play with and keep them occupied. Yea!
We went to church this morning and this was the first time Presley cried when we left her ut of course she was fine when we picked her up. She must not have been having a good day. We also went to Sam's later in the day to pick up some Christmas movies because I realized we didn't have any on DVD. The girls haven't been watching TV but Brooke loves "The Polar Express." She calls it the Choo Choo Train movie. She absolutley loves trains. I think Santa is bringing her some for Christmas. She plays with them at school all the time. I can't wait! They are going to be fun this year.
Have a very Merry Christmas! I better say this now just in case I don't have the time to post this week.
