Happy Thanksgiving

The girls made these pilgrim hats at school and I thought it would be appropriate to post a picture of them with the hats on for Thanksgiving. I tried to get them together but they kept taking them off, so I opted for separate photos. The pictures are okay, I envisioned better pictures but isn't that how it always happens.
If I ask the girls what a turkey says, they will say, "G-O-B-B-L-E G-O-B-B-L-E." It is much slower than we would say it. It is so priceless to hear the words come out of their mouth. I am also trying to teach them to say Happy Thanksgiving. They say it but if you didn't know you wouldn't understand the word Thanksgiving. It is so cute. I need to video it as soon as possible.
Daddy put the Christmas lights up tonight and the girls were so excited when we took them outside to see the lights. They ran around the yard making noises and falling down on the grass. It made me soak it all in through their eyes. Oh, to be young again.
I hope everyone has a safe and blessed Thanksgiving.

Countdown to Christmas

I took a class last Tuesday and made this countdown to Christmas calendar. We started with a cookie sheet and this is the final project. I do have to change one of the numbers and put Happy Birthday on the Dec 3rd because that is daddy's birthday which that day is my least favorite so I guess it was in the cards to change that anyway. Thanks to Tracy for another great project.
One more final note, since this is Thanksgiving week I thought it only appropriate to let you all know that I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and my two adorable children, without them my life would not be complete. Thank you God for blessing me with these precious angels.
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy 2nd Birthday

The girls loved the balloons. Presley woke up saying, "Boon, Boon" she was so excited. It was priceless just to hear the joy in her voice as she played with the balloons. They both started kicking them and throwing them in the air. They had a ball. I don't think they understood that it was their birthday but they sure had fun with the balloons. Someday they will know the difference but today it was the balloons that made them smile.
I showed the girls how to hold up two fingers. They can do it but I have to help them. Presley has got it down as you can see by the picture. Brooke can do it but really cares nothing about holding up the two fingers. She runs off and starts to play. Two little girls but yet so different.
We had a great day, went to lunch with The Woodruffs, took a nap, and had a impromtu play date with Aleck. I would say that was a fun Birthday.

Look "Hoo"is Turning Two

I cannot believe my sweet little girls will be two tomorrow. I am going to get balloons and put them all over the living room for tomorrow so they know it's their special day.
As you can see below I have been quite busy and not able to post. We are having Thanksgiving at my house for Mimi and Poppy on Sunday since Mimi is going to see Yaya in Florida on Thanksgiving. Have a safe trip Mimi.

This was the invitation I made for the Birthday Party and the party favors we gave to each child. I think they turned out pretty darn cute.
.
These were the treat bags I made for their party at school

These were the cupcakes I made for school. I think they turned out great and they were not hard at all to decorate, just time consuming.

Go Cowboys

My little Dallas Cowboy fans. I have to start them young. I found these at Albertsons, thanks to my sister Kellie for telling me about them. We wore them for the first time and so many people commented on these adorable jerseys. Let's hope they win tonight. Gary went hunting this weekend and will be home tonight. It is getting somewhat easier as the girls get older but Presley is still throwing tantrums. If I tell her no, she falls to the ground and cries. The girls are really starting to fight over toys and mommy's attention. Brooke hits and Presley scratches. They both bit each other at different times this weekend. I am nipping that in the bud real quick.
The girls are off of school for a teacher work day. Since they have been going to school I often wonder how I did it for a year and a half. It is so nice to have a little time to myself. The girls absolutely love school. Presley will point and say school when we drive by, even when we are not going to school. Brooke never wants to leave, she will run around the gym when I pick her up. It takes forever to get them out of the building. I guess that is a sign they love school. That truly makes me happy to know that they are happy when they are away from mommy.

Birthday Bash

We had a combo birthday bash at Little Gym. The kids had a great time. I am posting a few pics and will post a slide show later with more pictures. I was really impressed with the girls. They really surprised me at how outgoing and full of life. Brooke is usually a little shy at first and then warms up but not this night, she was full on and loving every minute of the gym. Presley was the same. She loved the bars and the balance beam. She would come over and get me so she could walk on the beam. That precious little girl had a smile on her face from ear to ear. That's what motherhood is all about. The small things that make your heart melt. Brooke loved knocking down the big triangle mat. She did it over and over again. She would go even when it wasn't her turn. She would watch others for a little while and then she would charge at it. I laughed so hard to see my little Brookie being so bold. She absolutely loved that she was so little and could knock over such a big thing. You could see it in her face everytime she charged at the mat. That was the most adorable thing to watch. My little Brookie is growing up.
They both did great with the cake and loved eating it. Brooke would not leave her hat on as usual. She doesn't like hats. I think I got one picture of her in that cute little hat. I guess that is good enough. Afterall, it's the memories that count. I definitely have plenty of those with my two precious girls. I love you both with all my heart. Happy Happy Birthday! You are TWO, TWO, TWO. You can't hold up two fingers but when I sing a little song I made up you dance and say TWO, TWO, TWO. Precious is all I have to say. I love you my sweet angels.

Being Silly

I was getting ready the other day and I had the laundry laid out on the floor in the bathroom ready to be washed. Brooke grabbed a night shirt and put it on and then ran off into the living room and this is the cute picture I shot. She even said cheese, she is so precious right now. Presley put these glasses on and looked so adorable. She is my little chatter box right now.
I bought the girls night gowns and had to shoot some pictures. They are so sweet I could just eat them up. Sorry for the short post but I am busy.

Zoo Outing

We went to the zoo last Saturday. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time and were definitely worn out from the day. The girls are more difficult now because they don't want to stay in the stroller. They want to walk around and explore which I can't blame them for it but it is hard when it is just me. Thank you daddy for going with us. Aleck and Beebee also went and Brenda and I had the discussion of getting leashes for our children. Now you people who are scowling and thinking to yourselves I would never do that to my kid, I challenge you to walk a day in my shoes and I promise, you would feel the same way. They sometimes go different ways and it scares me at times. I would rather ease my mind then have something horrible happen. I love to take them places and I am not going to stop doing that because it is too hard to keep them together. I love for them to experience different things and will continue to let them grow. I honestly think Gary understood why I want leashes after the zoo trip. I thought I could go to the zoo by myself but soon realized it would be too difficult at this time. I know this is short lived and I will be able to at some point.
I took them to the park today and at one point Presley ran one way and Brooke ran the other way and let me tell you Brooke saw another play ground and she was gone. Presley on the other hand was running towards the swings which were the opposite direction. Thank goodness for Brenda. I ran to get Presley and deposited her closer to Brenda and ran after Brooke. They both were mad and crying and were not consolable, so we realized it was time to leave. That literally wore me out. Up until that time we were having a nice time at the park. As we were leaving we had the leash discussion again and it just confirmed it in my mind. Walmart here I come!

Blog Makeover

I am wanting a blog makeover desperately. So I went to Blogs By Danielle and posted a comment on her blog to try to win a free blog makeover. She does great work. I added her to my link list because if I don't win I will be visiting her blog soon to get a makeover. Please check out her work, she is amazing. Thanks Cari for letting me know about the giveaway.

My little angels will be two on Nov 22. I cannot believe how time flies. The girls are really starting to be so sweet, they hold hands and hug on each other but they also will scratch, push and hit each other. Where do they learn that behavior so young.
Presley is starting to call Brooke, "Brookie." It is so cute to hear it from her little voice. Brooke calls Presley, "Sissy." I guess it is because she cannot say Presley but I love to hear the both of them call each other.
Well, I am off to get some things done. Have a great evening.
