Another Fun Fest

We had a fun time at Main Street Days. everyone had a fun time. We rode a mini train. I think that was Clay and Josh's favorite thing to do. We stayed until 9:30, way past the girls bedtime but they were having so much fun playing with the kids. w also are the proud owners of a new ceramic cross because Brooke broke it. I'm going to glue it together to remind her when she gets older. Oh well, accidents happen. Brooke really likes to play with boys as you can see from the picture of her and Josh. The cutest thing was towards the end of the night Alan got all the kids to hold hands and walk over to see a bunch of motorcycles. It was precious to see them all listen and be sweet for a short while. They were really all great all day long. we are all so lucky to have such good natured children.
The girls are up from their nap. Have a great week!

New Babies

Brooke and Presley have their very own babies, of course they are twins and their names are Lily and Bella. They love their babies. Presley is a better mother than Brooke. They carry them everywhere. Presley has even taken Bella in the bath with her. daddy didn't notice she had her baby in her hand when he put her in the bath. When I put the babies in their shirts on their back they thought it was the neatest thing. They kept looking behind them and trying to grab the babies. They finally forgot about them and continued to play. I know I have said this before but Presley is a daddy's girl, she is attached to his hip most of the time. She woke up last night crying and she wanted daddy not mommy. I know he just loves that right now. I hope we can break her of this affection before Mother's Day Out. By the way they start on June 2nd. (Yahoo!)
I know they will be fine because they are okay in the gym and church nursery. Neither of them cries when I leave but that is only a little while not 6 hours. Oh, it sounds like I am a little mother hen. I will be just fine, I have been waiting for this for a year. We were on a waiting list for one year and were never called so believe me, I am SO ready for a little time so I can get some things done. I desperately need to do some yard work, clean out closets, grocery store, and just plain old time to myself.
We are going to Main Street Days in Grapevine today with Clay and Josh. The girls are taking their nap right now. Oh I hear them crying. Gotta go.Bye!

So Sweet

I love these pictures of the girls. Presley was being so silly. I love the look on Brooke's face. I just wished there wasn't a hot spot right on her face. She has the sweetest expression. Her allergies have really been bothering her. She hasn't been herself lately. Poor Brookie. I took her to the doctor today and they recommended giving her Zrytec which I had already bought and had been giving it to her for two days. I just wanted to make sure she was okay because I have trainings on Thurs. and Fri. I 've got to get ready for my day tomorrow. Sorry for the short post.

First Haircut

The girls and I went to open play today and I decided to go next door and get Presley's haircut. She has really fine hair and it was starting to look a little scraggly. They cut very little but it looks better. She was so good not one tear was shed. She is such a big girl. Brooke didn't get her haircut because she has great hair and I didn't want to cut off her curls. But we had to take a picture of Brooke in the red car. They both loved those cars. It kept them entertained long enough for the sweet lady to finish her job. You would probably laugh if you saw the piece of hair I kept to put in her book (it was not much at all). I am hoping her hair will grow better now that it has been cut. We had a fun day and hope tomorrow will be the same. Goodnight.

Baby Birdie

The girls and I were outside yesterday before we went to eat dinner and found a baby bird that had fallen out of its nest. The poor thing was running back and forth along the rose bushes and tweeting insanely. I think it was afraid as well as it should have because Brooke and Presley were crawling in the bushes trying to get to the poor thing. If it weren't for the rose bushes they would have had it. Presley was the most aggresssive. She has really been surprising me with her personality. She is so funny lately. She is the one that makes me laugh. She loves music and loves to dance. They both love dancing. Brooke is really starting to be compassionate. She will lay her head on my shoulder and hug me. That has been rare for Brooke. She is becoming my little love bug. She also is starting to jibber jabber all the time and it sounds adorable. I love the changes with the both of them. I love this stage of their life. They are the most precious right now. I hope it stays this way for a while.

Happy Mother's Day

We had a wonderful weekend. Saturday we went to Granbury to Uncle David and Aunt Dottie's house. The girls had so much fun but I forgot my camera so no pictures from this excursion. I am really upset because the girls played with minnows for the first time. It was the cutest thing. Presley would dip her hands into the bucket and try to catch a minnow and then get so excited and laugh. Brooke was a little timid at first but then she would try to get one also. I thought it would have been the other way around. Presley is my girly girl but not with the minnows, she was definitely into touching them with no problem what so ever. The girls were soaking wet by the time they were finished playing. It was a good thing I brought a change of clothes because I don't always bring a change of clothes. We had to hide the minnow bucket until the guys were ready to go fishing because the girls were so into those darn fish. Brooke at one point found the bucket so I had to move it to a different spot and Brooke started crying. It took a while to deter her from the minnows but I finally succeeded. The girls were so good the only time they cried was when we had to go in to change their diaper. They were exhausted they fell asleep on the way home. It was great to see everyone.
We went to dinner for Mother's Day. It was a great meal and the girls were so good of course daddy didn't think so because some of their food ended up on the floor. He doesn't understand that happens sometimes when children are involved. Brooke was singing a little loud and Presley ate ice cream all by herself. She was a mess but I didn't care because she was being so good. It was a wonderful Mother's Day, I got cash so I could spend at the Scrapbook convention in June.
Yahoo!
I usually take off the girls clothes to feed them because they won't leave their bibs on anymore. So it is much easier to clean their bare skin. I had to take some photos because I realized they always have clothes on in my pics. I love bare skin photos but forget to take them. I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to take those kind of photos.
As I sit and write this, I realize how lucky I am to have two healthy and wonderful children. I wouldn't change a thing. I would do it all over again. Brooke and Presley I love you with all my heart and love being your mother. You have brightened my life with your laughter, smiles, cries,
personalities, hugs and kisses, baby talk, singing, dancing but most of all when you say, Mama or Mom. There is nothing better than being a mother and I wish for everyone to experience the bliss just once. It is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. I never thought I could love so deeply. Happy Mother's Day!!!

Pop, Pop, Pop The Bubbles

We had a fun time playing with the bubbles. I would put the bubbles up and Brooke would run to the table and cry so I would get them out again. It worked because I did it way more than I had planned. They say pick your battles and I thought this was a fun battle so I let her win. Besides they were so cute and they love the bubbles. I am tired so this will be a short post. I have to pick up because the maid comes tomorrow. Hallelujah! Have a wonderful Thursday!

Mud Play

We went to "Open Play" at Gymboree today. The girls fell a sleep in the car on the way home. Normally I wouldn't let them sleep but they played so hard today. It was a short nap, as soon as they woke up we went inside to eat supper. Presley was a little fuss pot. She woke up on the wrong side of the carseat. So after we finished eating, I took them outside to play a little while before bathtime. As you can see from the first photo they were having a grand time. Daddy called as we were outside and the girls went on the other side of my car to play. They usually run around the car and chase each other, so I didn't think anything of it, until Presley walked around from the car and had mud all over her pants. I was still talking to daddy and started laughing and had to explain it to him. Brooke walked out from behind the car and had her shoe off and mud on her foot and bottom, but as she got closer I realized she had been eating the mud. Wow! sand and mud two days in a row. There must be something tasty in the both of them. I think I will pass on the tasting. I just laughed and gathereed them up to go inside and get a bath. What was I thinking letting her play in white pants. We were only going to be outside for 20 minutes. I learned my lesson, Huh! At least she was cute while she was playing in the mud and it makes for a great picture. I did change their shoes at the last minute and put their Crocs on instead of their good shoes. Boy, am I glad I did that because the Crocs can be washed. Oh well, kids will be kids and I am so glad they like to get dirty. By the way the clothes came clean. Goodnight!

More MayFest Pictures

I had to post more pics from MayFest because I have so many great pictures. I love the first two of Presely. The look on her face in both of them is so adorable. She was obviously having a fun time in the sand. Brooke still so serious but having fun also. She was so determined. Presley wondered over to some kids burying their friend. She started digging right where they were playing. I had to go and move her because she was messing things up for them. She was uncovering part of the little boy. She was babbling up a storm when I moved her. I wish I knew what she was saying because it was so cute.
Brooke was digging in the sand next to this little boy and I had a feeling she was bothering him so I went and asked him and he said, "yes." So I proceeded to move her but she kept venturing over to him. He asked me, why does she keep coming back to me. I told him she didn't really understand. It was so funny. The little boy was so engrossed in his little project. I think Brooke kept going over to him because he was in a big hole. Needless to say it just made me laugh and realize how cute kids can be.

MayFest

We went to Mayfest today and had so much fun. Thank you Tom, Brenda and Aleck for calling and inviting us to go. Gary stayed at home because he was a little under the weather. He missed a fun time. The girls were really good. I am so excited I got a decent picture of Brooke(with her sticks) and Presley. It is really hard to get them both looking at me and a good photo. I love the expression on Brooke's face. We strolled around and looked at Art Work, listened to a band, saw Elsie the cow and her calf, gathered sticks, and the best part of the day was playing in the sand. It was a huge sand pit and let me tell you ALL the kids were having a blast. I think that was the best part of the day for me to watch my children experience a pile of sand for the first time. When Presley first touched it with her feet she sat down and moved her legs and feet back and forth and was laughing the whole time. It was pure joy for her and my heart was happy to see her precious face. Brooke loved it also but she was more serious at first. She grabbed a cup and a shovel (shovels were provided) and started putting sand in her cup. Aleck was having as much fun as the girls. As you can see from the photos. They all fell a couple of times but no injuries or tears. They also ate plenty of sand. Hmm! Do you think sand has protein? If so they had enough to last them a week. (Heehehee!) When it was time to leave the girls DID not want to leave. So I filled a cup of sand and let them carry it to the car. They were okay with that idea. I told Tom and Brenda I enjoyed the day but most of all seeing those children in the sand was special. Thanks again for a wonderful memory filled day.
