Fort Worth Stock Show
The weather has beeen yucky so we decided to go to the Fort Worth Stock Show on Sunday. We walked through and saw cows, goats, bunnies, ducklings, chicks, sleeping pig, baby pigs and horses. Brooke kept asking to see the horses because she wanted to pet a horse. She was able to pet a cow and it was a sweet cow but Presley didn't want to have any part of petting the cow she just stood back and watched. She didn't have a problem with the goats. She liked them and was fine petting the baby goats. We watched them milk a cow and the girls were mesmerized as the process was done. They both got a blue ice cream scoop and were excited to get it and wanted to know if they had ice cream. We also went and watched them showing cows and we all picked our favorite cow and sat and waited to see which cow won. Daddy's cow came in second and my cow came in fourth. It was fun to see them watch their cow and hope that it won. Brooke chose her cow based on the owner's white shirt and Presley chose her cow because a girls was showing it. So funny how their little minds work. We watched roping cows as well and the girls were on the cow's side. They were saying, "go cow go." It just made me laugh to hear them. Their innocence just melts my heart. It did make me realize their compassion for any living thing is so apparent. Brooke did not like the smell as we were walking through the animal stalls and she would place her ice cream scoop over her nose to cover up the smell. She was so funny to watch. She has become quite witty. The girls saw the chocolate marshmellows with sprinkles and had to have them and as you can see they really enjoyed them. We were on our way out and Brooke had to stop to watch a goat getting ready to be showed. She looked at me and said, "Mommy he doesn't like what she is doing to him." She is so compassionate and cares so much about every living thing. It was a great family outing and loved every minute of it.

My Little Artist!
We brought the easels out on Sunday. Brooke loves to draw. Presley doesn't like to draw as much she prefers to do crafts. Brooke wouldn't let us look at it until she was all finished. She let Presley take a peek. Presley drew some but didn't want me to take a picture of her art. It looks like there is a dogs face in the creation. Can you find it? It looks like a Yorkshire Terriers face.

Artfully Fun!
It snowed today but not enough to even play in it. The girls were a little dissappointed when they woke up from their nap and they couldn't make a snow angel. Brooke started to cry. I felt so bad for her because she had talked about making a snow angel the minute it started snowing.
I took them to the Stampin Up Open House so they could make the craft. They both love to stamp and do anything crafty. They both did a great job and were both so proud of the finished product. I hope they always like to do crafts with me. It was a great day just wished we would have had snow to make my sweet girls happy.

Skating Lessons
I am so proud of Brooke and Presley. We went to skate lessons today and they learned to skate without the walker. They even wore in-line skates and did great. For those of you who want to teach your kids this is what you tell them.
1. Hold your hands out in front of you.
2. Step side to side by picking one foot up at a time.
3. If you feel you are going to fall, bend your knees and place your hands on your knees.
4. If you do fall, get on all fours like a dog and put one foot in front of you and then the other and stand up.
As we skated around the floor I would remind them of these four things and they were skating all by themselves. Now, they were not zooming around but they were skating. I was thrilled to see them accomplish skating. They have lessons every Saturday and we will be there until they are skating like champs. I am one happy mother today. I love seeing my children accomplishing new tasks. It puts a smile on my face and makes my heart happy!

Epiphany Pagent
The girls were angels in the Epiphany Pagent and were darn cute angels. Presley wasn't paying attention at one point and all the other angels had walked away to sit down and she was the lone angel in her own little world and then she realized she was standing all by herself. The look on her face was so adorable. It mad me laugh at my sweet littl "P." Brooke couldn't sit still and her wings came off and someone had to fix her wings during the pagent. Baby Jesus was Mrs. Benefiel's baby and the girls were so thrilled to meet baby Kale. Mrs. Benefiel is one of the girls teachers so that really made it all so special. The service was great and the girls were really excited about being angels as well as getting to eat cake at the reception afterwards. Presley had two pieces of cake and Brooke stood in line and waited for a piece of cake that had brown icing on it. It just made me smile at her little quirks.
The term epiphany means "to show" or "to make known" or even "to reveal." In Western churches, it remembers the coming of the wise men bringing gifts to visit the Christ child, who by so doing "reveal" Jesus to the world as Lord and King.
