Last Day of School

The last day of school was Wednesday May 26th and it was a half day and then we headed to the pool for the end of school pool party. I had to take a picture of the girls with their teachers because Mrs Vecchio will not be there next year. We will miss her or I should say Presley will miss her. Mrs. Vecchio was so good to Presley she would love on her and let her sit in her lap. Little Presley seems to always find someones lap to sit on.. The girls will stay in the 3 year old class next year  because of their late birthday. I am sad that they won't be able to follow their friends but I know they need the extra time. Brooke can write her name and is so excited about it. She will tell random people that she can write her name. I am so proud of her. Presley is almost their but she has a harder name. I really love the changes I have made for them because they have really grown so much since they started going in January.
I made the teachers coffee mugs and several of us got together and gave them a visa card for their gift. They appreciated the thoughtfulness and liked their mugs.
The pool party was a blast. These are the only pictures I have because I took these at the begining of the day and never pulled my camera out again. They were so tired and their feet were all scraped up but they didn't seem to mind because they had so much fun with their friends. They fell asleep on the way home and went to bed early that night. You gotta love when that happens. Summer is here and I am ready to enjoy it with the girls. I am excited to spend it with them.

Memorial Day

Erin spent the night for Memorial Day and the girls played in the water.  They had a blast filling up the buckets with water and sitting in them. Brooke had so much fun she wanted to take her bath in the bucket. We should have let her do it. It would have been a great picture and story to tell. The girls really love playing with Erin. Thanks Erin for all your help.
I took these pictures before I left to have a girls night out. We went to dinner and a movie. We saw "Sex in the City." I thought the first movie had a better story line but we still laughed out loud in parts so I would say it was a good girls night out.
Presley just came in from taking a bath and informed me she did it all by herself. Which means she washed her body and her hair. I wished for this day but now that it has happened it saddens me because they are growing way too fast.

Cowboy Birthday Party

We went to a Cowboy Birthday Party for Joshua. The girls absolutely love Josh. He is in their class at school. They got to ride ponies and hit a pinata and play with their friends. Brooke was in love with the horses as well as Presley. They both asked daddy if they could have a horse. I thought they were two cute little cowgirls. They brought their cowboy hats but those didn't last long and I forgot to take a picture of them in their little pink hats. It was such a fun party.
I had to make a card that had something to do with cowboys and the horses were as close as I could get because I had loaned my cowboy kid stamp set to the teachers to use on the scrapbooks. I love the way it turned out.

Mother's Day

I wasn't feeling well on Mother's Day and haven't felt well since that day. I have been dizzy as well as nauseated and have had a horrible headache. My blood pressure has been slightly elevated, the doctor said maybe it was just enough to make me feel bad. I am so ready to be back to normal because I have slacked on a lot of things lately especially my blog.
The girls were so excited to give me my present. They gave me the cutest necklace from James Avery and a pedicure and some chocolate. Presley wanted me to wear the necklace immediately and of course I wanted to as well but she was just so precious. Gary and I were talking the other night and have decided they have turned a corner and are really grown up now. They seem so much older and even talk more grown up. It makes me a little sad but in some ways it is so much easier the older they get. But I have been missing the baby stage lately and especially when I look at these pictures.
Brooke will hug Presley and tell her, "I love you sissy." Then Presley will do the same thing to Brooke. It is so special to watch and it melts my heart. I hope they always love and cherish each other as they do now. These are the moments that make being a mother so wonderful.

Silly Sisters

The girls have been sick all week. I took Brooke to the doctor on Monday.
It started with Brooke having pink eye, then Presley ran a fever and then got pink eye. Brooke started coughing and I mean bad coughing to where she was choking. Presley complained of ear pain. So, I took them both to the doctor on Wednesday. Brooke had bad allergies, breathing treatments 3 times a day sometimes four. Presley has swimmers ear. We haven't even been in the pool, it's from laying down in the bathtub. I know, it's crazy. So we are on eye drops, ear drops, medicine, and breathing treatments.
These pictures were taken this week and looking at them they don't look sick at all. Why can't we all be like this when we are sick. Life would be so much easier.
Tomorrow is Field Day at school and Brooke is still coughing really bad. I will take her to field day but not sure she will be able to do much. Presley is fine and could have gone to school today. We are at our wits end with Brooke's allergies and coughing. She will be fine for a week or so and then it comes back  and last for a week or two. I think we are going to request to see an allergists and see if we can get this under control. It is so frustrating. I know Brooke feels the same way. We are hoping the diagnosis isn't asthma but seems to be steering in that direction.
It was fun to spend time with them but am ready for things to be back to normal.
They were so cute this day and Brooke is so lovable and sweet to her sister. She takes up for her all the time and Presley will take up for Brooke as well.  Presley is my little showboat. She constantly says, "Mom, watch me." She will do something silly or just wants the attention.
We met daddy for lunch today and that was a nice treat. Gary took the girls to get my mother's day present and Presley was trying to show me in a catalog what they purchased. Too funny! Never trust Miss Presley with a secret because she cannot keep one at all. She was holding the presents in the car and told me she wanted to show me once we got in the house. I told her it was a surprise and I would open it on Sunday. You got to love that sweet innocence. To love a child is by far the best thing in life.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers.

Rock and Roll Birthday Party

Saturday was a fun day. We had a Rock and Roll Birthday Party. They colored and decorated their own guitar,  had a mini concert, busted a guitar pinata, played pin the pic on the guitar, and just played.  The girls do have their own pink guitars, compliments of the Mathis family but that is the one thing I forgot. We were half way to the party when I realized we didn't have their guitars. It was a great party and all the kids had fun. The little blond boy with the guitar is Cason the birthday boy and he is adorable. He would hold up his guitar and say, "Rock On."
Brooke wasn't acting herself she seemed really shy or so I thought until later in the evening her eye became really red and yucky. I took her to the doctor today and she has pink eye. I feel really bad because I chalked it up to allergies. Presley went to school today and right before we left to pick her up Mrs. D called amd said she was running a fever. So I will be at home with sick kids tomorrow.
Even with a fever Presley made me promise to paint her fingernails.  Can you guess what I will be doing. I painted their toes this weekend and they had to wear their sandals so everyone would see their toes. They are just precious and I will enjoy painting their toes tomorrow.

Face Painting and Fun

After school I took the girls to the park and today I realized they truly are little girls and I love those two girls more than anything. As I watched them try the monkey bars and then say." Mom, I need help."
I had to pinch myself and say I am a Mom and love every minute if it and we tried every monkey bar on the playground and I smiled the whole way through realizing I am a mother and it's the best job I have ever had. We also walked over to see the ducks and saw nine ducklings but their mother was nowhere to be found. Presley immediately asked, "where is the mommy duck."  I told her the mommy duck was getting food for the ducklings.  It's amazing how their little minds work.
We went to CiCi's Pizza tonight and as we were walking up to the door the girls saw a clown through the window and were so excited. She was making balloon animals or face painting. I told the girls they could see the clown as soon as they ate their dinner. I think they ate their dinner the fastest I have seen two kids eat.  They both wanted their face painted. Brooke chose a Lady Bug and Presley chose a Rabbit. The clown was great with the girls and the face painting looked awesome. It was a shame they couldn't enjoy their face painting  for a little bit longer.
When we arrived home daddy took the girls on a bike ride. He takes them every night and they really enjoy their daddy time. It is such a precious sight to watch them ride down the street, just father and daughters.
