Dora Live

We took the girls to Dora Live last night and they were so cute. they yelled out answers, waved their stars, and danced and clapped along with everyone else. They really enjoyed the show. We asked them who their favorite character was and Brooke said, "Dora" and Presley said, "Boots." I was so proud of the both of them because they stayed in their seats and were really well behaved. Sorry no pictures of Dora because they wouldn't allow cameras with removable lenses. Darn, I saw other people with big cameras so next time I will bring mine in and break the rules.
These are random pictures but I thought I would post the one of the grasshopper because the girls saw it on their stroller and came running in the house to tell me to come and look at the grasshopper. They watched it forever. Then daddy tried to pick it up and it landed on daddy's arm and the girls were giggling. It was precious and it made me realize we have many more times like this one. Two little giggly girls is such a wonderful sound. I can listen to that sound all day and enjoy every minute of it. I so appreciate the wonderful blessings we have been given.
The girls are napping so I think I will take a little nap. Enjoy your weekend.

Baby Hunter

We saw Hunter on Sunday and the girls couldn't wait to hold him. As soon as they saw him they said, "I want to hold him." They were so excited but once Brooke got him in her lap she got real serious and looked like she was concentrating. It was so cute. They both love babies but Brooke is so obsessed with babies. She doesn't leave their side and always wants to cover them up and put the paci in their mouth. I think smother is the word I should use, she will make a great babysitter some day.
Presley loves babies but isn't as obsessed with them. They had fun seeing all the family. It ws a good time and Hunter is adorable.

I had to take Presley to the doctor last week because she had a tummy ache and they weighed both girls Brooke is 36.8 pounds and Presley is 31.2pounds. I knew Brooke felt heavier but didn't realize it was 5pounds heavier. They have always stayed within a pound of each other but not anymore. Brooke is my better eater and Presley eats like a bird. They are getting so big.

July 4th Fun

This was the only group photo we got the whole weekend and it isn't good but it's all we have so I am posting it.

More of the clad five, popcorn and cotton candy. Mmmm good! The girls didn't like the cotton candy which really surprised me.

I absolutely love this picture and don't really know why, maybe because they are all so darn cute. Just look at those faces. Sweet and innocent, let's hope they stay that way forever.

The parade stopped at a park and we had hot dogs, snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn, bounce houses, sack races, and of course the playground. The girls ran to the swings and would probably swing all day long but mommy and daddy needed a rest from pushing them both because they love to swing really high. As I write this I am so excited that my girls were able to experience such fun. Oh and did I mention the weather was not HOT! It was beautiful to me. It sprinkled a little during the parade and at the park but noone cared. Everyone kept saying it wasn't usual Chicago weather but it was fine by me because we were not sweating as we would have been in Texas. Makes me want to move somewhere colder.

July 4th In Chicago

We had a lot of first during our trip to Chicago, plane ride, snow cones, sparklers, sleep over with friends, Superdawg, visit to Chicago. Wow, what an experience. I took over 300 photos so I will be posting more later. I have some really great ones.
The girls absolutely had a blast and we so appreciate Jeff, Anne and Jack's hospitality. We owe you both big. Maybe we can make up for it in Park Cities next July. Gotta run the girls are finished playing with their trains and are being a little needy. More to come.

Watermelon and snow cones, who could ask for a better fourth of July

Here we are right before the parade started. The kids loved all the excitement.

We are at the airport and the kids are watching the planes. I just love this picture. I have always loved pictures from behind for some reason. They are so precious with their excitement.

Tim Holtz Class

This is Tim's project.

I love this picture because it is of Tim and I. He is my Creative Guru. This was the class of a lifetime for me. I had a blast.

This was a frame he showed us that he made and for you Michaels shoppers he purchased the frame at Michaels. I think I might have to case this one.

Here is my project. Sorry the photo isn't that great but you get the idea of the great class and of course the project. The middle canvas is crooked and after I took this photo I fixed it.

It was an amazing day. They did it in two parts, a group went with Cheryl and a group went with Tim. The part with Cheryl was fun and relaxed. The part with Tim was fast paced but so organized that I felt so at ease. He is an amazing teacher. For all you crafters out there if you ever have the chance to take one of his classes, do it. I don't think anyone will top him on my list.
I am so excited we leave for Chicago tomorrow. This will be the girls first plane ride. They are so excited. We tell them they are going on a plane and they say,
" and Clay and Josh too." They are too funny. We are going to visit friends and yes, Clay and Josh will be there also and on our same flight. Hmm! Two sets of twins on the same flight. It should be fun. Hopefully they will sleep. I'll let you know how it went when I get back.
Happy Fourth of July!

Father's Day and a New Family Member

Happy Father's Day Honey. We had a great day.
We also welcomed a new member into the family.
Hunter Clyde Rhodes was born. We all went to the hospital after we ate our lunch. I'm sure we smelled so fresh after being out in the heat. It is probably a good thing we didn't get to hold the baby we would have scares him withthe way we looked and smelled. We didn't get to see him very well because he was in the nursery and they couldn't turn him. We saw the back of his cute little head. So I have no pictures to post as of yet. But as soon as I get one I will post it.
The girls were so cute they could see another baby better so they were wanting to look at her instead of Hunter. They were calling her Baby Lily.

Look at my sweet girls. They were looking at Baby Lillie. She was in her stroller with a net over the stroller because the flies were horrible. That was pretty disgusting for a clean freak like me but I endured it and had a great time.

Daddy putting sunscreen on the girls. He is such a great father.

This is Papaw and Presley. I didn't get a picture of Papaw and Brook, she must have been running around.

These are the restrooms at The Loco Coyote Grill. It cracked me up because of the He and She above the bathroom doors. They weren't that bad for an adult but two potty training toddlers, not good.

This was the Bar. I loved this place but not in June.

This was the porch where we ate our lunch. It was nice because their was a breeze but it was still hot for a premenopausal mamma. The girls had a blast running around.

This is the front of the Resturaunt. I really do love the whole vibe and would love to come back when it is cooler. When we arrived a band was playing but they only played a few more songs and packed it up. Hmm! Do you think it was too hot for them.
