Well, it has been a busy two weeks. We switched the girls to a new school. Today was their first day. They were both so excited this morning. I dropped them off and showed them their new cubby and where to hang their backpacks. Brooke was a little clingy so I stayed for a little while. I was there twenty minutes and they said the Lord's Prayer, sang some songs, talked about today being Tuesday, talked about the month being January and what day in January, counted to 19, Had announcements, introduced Brooke and Presley, went over the phonics alphabet, and started center time with a playmate. Brooke played with Ashton today and Presley played with Ava. They have a different playmate everyday. Once Brooke got to start playing she was fine. I took a few pictures and was ready to begin my day. Presley was a little more comfortable today. Brooke wanted mommy and wanted me to sit with her. She wouldn't even sit on the floor she had to sit on my lap. Presley participated when they were singing songs and even answered a question. She was fine with her new school and Brooke was fine as well. I was thrilled that they were adjusting so well. I walked out of that room with the biggest smile on my face because I knew they were going to love their new school and be just fine. My little girls were tackling another mile stone and I was there to witness it. My heart is full of joy!
Mrs. D said they had a great day and that Brooke was practically falling asleep at the lunch table and she took a 2 hour nap. Presley planted tulip bulbs today and Brooke said she didn't want to plant. I told her that was fine whatever she wanted to do. Mrs. D said Brooke got a little worried at one point when Presley whent with Mrs. V to get the tulip bulbs and Brooke was concerned that Presley left and was no longer at school. Once Mrs. D assured her she would be back Brooke was fine and continued to play. Mrs D. informed me both of the girls would probably be adjusted by the end of the week. My little girls are growing up.
I am so glad they had a great day. I want the best for those precious girls and I would do anything for them, I even gave up my housekeeper and have not regretted it one bit. I want them to have the best education and if I have to sacrifice that is what I will do. I love you both dearly and love being your mommy.
The girls went to bed so easy tonight. I think they were so tired from their busy day. I think I will like this school even more if they go to bed as easily as they did tonight.
