Parr Park

We decided to go to Parr Park this evening and yes, it was still hot outside. Brooke was in rare form and was posing for my pictures tonight. I love when that happens, it makes my heart happy. Presley was running and climbing more than usual. I think the new tennis shoes helped. She said, " they made her run fast." We took the soccer balls but that didn't last long because it was so hot and they wanted to play instead of practice kicking the soccer ball around. I don't blame them on that one. I cherish the special family fun times.

Play Date With Maggie

I love to listen to little girls playing. Today we had Maggie over for a play date. They played school and with their babies. One of the things I heard, " Mason is in time out for punching and biting." It makes me laugh but also wonders where they come up with these things. As I looked up Brooke had her baby down her shirt with the head sticking out. I realized she was pretending she had one of those bands on to carry a baby. Kids are more observant than we give them credit. They had a great time and played well together.

We made cookies or I should say, I made cookies because when it was time to start the cookies they didn't want to stop playing long enough to help. But they sure did enjoy eating them.

I bought the girls a new cart for some of their art stuff. I was tired of the paper, crayons, pencils and markers ending up everywhere. Presley was most excited that the cart had wheels and she could roll it next to the table. It's the little things that matter.

First Day Of School 2011-2012

You both were so excited for your first day of school. I only had to tell you one time to get up and you both were up and ready to start  your day. It made me a little sad because we have had such a wonderful summer. I am so proud of you and adore that you both are becoming such young ladies.

My wish for you is that you both have a great year and continue to grow with God. I love you to the moon and back!

The Ark!

We had a fun time at The Ark. Enjoying a last playdate of the summer. Brooke is constaantly picking people up, she is strong enough to do it but it irritates me and the person she is picking up. How do I break her of this little habit? I will miss these days when they are so darn cute but I am ready to be back on a normal schedule.

The Things Kids Will Say!

Presley just informed us that she wants to be a mermaid and clean up all the trash in the ocean. Too cute!
Brooke wants to be a doctor for babies. Love those two girls!

Jammin In Your Jammies

Several of us bid on Jammin in your Jammies at the school auction. Mrs. Lilley, Mrs. Dickey, and Mrs. Benefiel donated their time to raise money for the school. They ate pizza, made t-shirts, had their nails painted, and then watched a movie. The girls had a great time and loved seeing some of their friends they had not seen all summer.

Toothless Again!

Presley has had another loose tooth and today she was eating goldfish. She bit on something hard and pulled it out of her mouth and it was, her tooth. She was so excited because she knew the tooth fairy would be coming tonight. My little girl is growing up.

Girly Girl Party!

The Girly Girl Party was a hit. They got to pick out their own dress up dress. It surprised me at the outfits they chose, so not the ones I would have expected. They got their nails painted, Presley chose blue and Brooke chose pink. They put their hair up and then some make-up applied. They danced around and played games and then they had a runway show. They were suppose to walk down and pose and then blow a kiss to everyone while the stylist told all about them.Neither, Brooke nor Presley walked or strutted their stuff. Presley said her favorite color was blue and she liked macaroni and cheese and she wanted to be a princess when she grows up. Brooke's favorite color was pink which it is usually red and she liked her dog Bailey and she also wanted to be a princess. Presley had to change her outfit because she said it was not comfortable. She chose a yellow and black tutu and I think it was too small. The second one she chose was much better. They were a little shy at first and warmed up at the end. They both had a lot of fun. I love watching them act silly.
