Easter In Granbury

We went to Papaw and Mamaw's house after the Church Easter Egg Hunt. The girls had so much fun and boy were they dirty when we left. Brooke picked up an easter egg that looked like a monster and she threw it back on the ground. Gary picked it up and told her it wasn't a monster but a fish and put it back in her basket. She still didn't want the egg because she threw it out again. She has done that before when she was smaller and it just cracks me up. When her mind is set it is set and there is no changing it.
We went to feed the catfish and saw daddy's cows. One of the cows got his head stuck in the fence. Lucky for him we were able to help him get his head out. The girls jumped on the trampoline and were asking if they could have a trampoline at home. It was a great day, the girls always enjoy their time with Papaw and Mamaw.

He is Risen! Happy Easter!

Good Friday Equals Park Fun

It is a warm but windy day. The girls are off from school because it is Good Friday! We decided to meet Brenda, Aleck and Ella at the park. We took the bikes so they could ride around but that was short lived because the park was crazy crowded and I was afraid someone would get run over, so we put the bikes back in the car. I didn't take very many pictures but the pictures I did get are so sweet of Brooke and Presley. It was a good time at the park. But lets not forget the real reason we have this day off. It is a Holy Day because Jesus was crucified on the cross the friday before Easter. Let's all take the time to say a prayer to Jesus and thank him for suffering for us. Happy Good Friday!

SheArt Class

I have been taking this online class called SheArt by Christy Tomlinson. It is a great class. I took this class to learn the backgrounds. She is an awesome instructor. I made the first two canvases for the girls and the other two I made for the school auction. I love creating and this is so up my alley. I haven't finished the girls canvases because I can't figure out what I want to say on their canvas yet. I want it to reflect their personality.

The Things Kids Will Say

This morning the girls came and climbed in bed with us and we were all laying quietly.
Brooke- Mommy you are gray and I am brown. See, as she holds her arm to mine. Gray and brown.
Me- As I laugh. Brooke, I don't think I'm gray.
Brooke-Yes you are.

At first I thought she was talking about my hair being gray but I just had it colored so I knew she wasn't referring to my hair. I know my skin is pail but does it really look gray?
Kids will be kids!

A Fun Day In April

The day started with a soccer game and then we headed to a birthday party at Mountasia. It was a fun party.
We played games, ate pizza and cake, putt putt, rode go carts, bumper boats, and more games. It was a great time spent with my children.I love those memories etched in my mind. Once we got home we played outside and went on a bike ride. It was such a beautiful day we had to be outside. We then headed to Southlake for Art In The Square. As you can see the girls got their faces painted. Presley went first and chose a butterfly and Brooke said she wanted spiderman. Gary and I both laughed. She obviously changed her mind once she saw Presley's painted face. I love to see excitement in my children's eyes and when Presley saw the Bungy Jump her eye's lit up and her face was full of excitement and she said, "Mommy I want to jump." And jump she did. They went down slides and jumped in bounce houses. We closed the place down and had a great time. Life is good and with a day like we had, why wouldn't it be! I didn't take any pictures of our fun day so as soon as we got home I snapped these pictures of their painted faces so we could have a reminder of our fun day!

Bluebonnets

We finally made it to take pictures in the bluebonnets. Which by the way, I have never taken any pictures of the girls in the bluebonnets. I can't believe I just had to write that last sentence. It was a windy day and the girls were not cooperating. I got some good ones but once I loaded them on my computer I realized I had my camera set on fluorescent lighting from the day before when I was taking pictures of the girls in the gym at school. So the pictures all had a blue hue. I had to correct every single picture, not a happy person when I realized my mistake. I still feel like they are not my best pictures but, hey I have bluebonnet pictures and it is what it is and I am happy I have some at all. I realized after that day I really need an external flash for days like this one. Presley was better than Brooke on this day as you can tell there are more pictures of her.

Go Brooke!

Brooke concentrating on the game.

Brooke is #9

Presley with her hands in her pants. I don't know what she was doing.

Presley is #10

She doesn't look like she is into the game here but she really was I promise!

There she goes again with her hands in her pants!

The girls have come a long way with soccer. They are starting to play and love playing the game. It is so fun to watch how much they have grown from when they started last season. The team is all girls. It is suppose to be coed but we didn't have any boys on our team this time. I think it is better because it gives the girls a chance to play and score. The coach's daughter still has not played in a game except for this game Gary got her out on the field and she blocked a ball from going in the goal. She didn't last long but at least she did get in the game. She is too funny, her parents have tried everything to get her to play. She will practice with the team but doesn't care to play on game day.
