A Special Guest!

We were invited to an Easter Party on Saturday. The girls were so excited to see their friends outside of school. We did a sack race, painted faces, balloon animals, ate Cake Balls, an Easter egg hunt and best of all the Easter Bunny made a special visit. The girls knew it was a person in a costume and they even knew who was in the costume. Brooke came up to me and said, “The Easter bunny is Sophia’s dad because I saw his shoes.” I thought that was pretty observant for my sweet Brooke. She was pretty proud of her find but I had to tell her not to tell her secret to her friends. As we were leaving for the party I asked the girls the reason we celebrate Easter and Brooke said,”because Christ has Risen.” I love that they have such a sweet spirit and a love for Christ our savior.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bluebonnets

We were off of school for Good Friday. We started out at the nail salon getting our toes all pretty. Then we headed out to lunch and I decided I wanted bluebonnet pictures. The girls promised they would be good for the camera. It was a little bright and not the best light for pictures but I didn’t know when I would have time to get it done. They were great, at first and then they saw butterflies and started chasing them. I got a few good ones then we decided to play for awhile. Presley caught the first butterfly and Brooke was a little upset because she didn’t have a butterfly. Presley offered to catch one for her and off she went. She was successful and Brooke was happy. They didn’t want to let the butterflies go so I let them bring them in the car. They were flittering all over the car and the girls were arguing which butterfly belong to each other. They were so giddy and loved watching them fly all over the car. They were right, It’s the little things that make a difference. If I could freeze time I would have frozen our ride home with the butterflies.Just a magical moment for such a short time.
