These pictures were taken before we went skiing.

These pictures were taken after we had skied all day. The kids loved playing in the snow. This was the end of our first ski day

These were a few of my favorite pictures of the kids

I have to say I love these the best. This is how they were the whole time with each other. They were so sweet and couldn’t get enough of each other. It was so darn cute. I hope they always get along this well.

Ski School

We bought the girls helmets because we wanted them to be safe. I am so glad we chose pink helmets so we could locate them easily. They had a lot of kids in their class. Brooke has the pink coat and Presley has the pink pants. We watched them for a while before I left for my ski lesson and they were already getting the hang of it. They started them out on one ski and then gradually went to two skis. Pizza to stop and french fry  to go. It amazes me how fast kids learn. By day three, they were skiing better than me, getting on the lift and skiing down the bunny slope. They had no fear. They had different colored dots that they used to move them up as they made progress. They were all a red dot by the end of day three and that was each one of their goals was to get a red dot. Clay and Josh could ski down the big mountain and did it like a pro. They were so good that Alan had to tell them to slow down. I loved picking them up from ski school and hearing how their day went and most importantly what color dot they received. They love skiing and can’t wait to go next year.

Here We Come!

Is the Mountain ready for these two sets of twins? I think so, they are going to rock that mountain.

Ski Rentals

The kids were so excited they could hardly contain themselves.

We are ready to take on that mountain tomorrow. We signed the kids up for ski school for three days. Rita and I are taking a lesson together and the men will pick the kids up for lunch because the ski school was sold out for lunch on Monday. But the other days they will eat their lunch with their ski group. I got a little nervous for the girls but then it suddenly turned to excitement for them. I can’t wait to see them skiing. I never went skiing as a child so I am so thrilled my children are able to experience the things I never did.

We Made It!

We are finally in the mountains. That is the most boring drive, it is so flat and nothing to see. So the mountains were a much needed change. These scenic pictures were taken through the windshield. It snowed 7 inches last night, just for us. It is so beautiful. God’s country.

Amarillo By Evening

We are headed to Red River, New Mexico for spring break for a skiing vacation. This will be the girls first time to ski. We stopped in Amarillo to spend the night to break up the driving. We met Rita’s cousins for dinner because they just happen to be in Amarillo visiting their daughter who was in Pharmacy School. We had to eat at The Big Texan and it was definitely a tourist trap but a fun night. We had to wait an hour and the kids all did great. It was great to see some of Rita’s cousins. We were talking and realized we knew some of the same people. They knew I had been in dentistry and they asked if I knew any dentist in Mesquite and I told them of Dr. McKnight and just so happens they lived in the same neighborhood for awhile. Dr. McKnight and I met on a mission trip to Romania. I was in sales at the time and he started buying his supplies from me. We called him and it was such a nice surprise to talk with him and we even decided we needed to get together for dinner. It is such a small world. Rita and I have always said how small it really is but this just proves it even more. I still can’t believe it! So weird.
