Country Woods Inn

We went to Glenrose with friends for Labor Day weekend. It wasn’t far but the Country Woods Inn made it seem like we had traveled a distance. It was absolutely adorable and had so much for the kids too see and do. This first post is a view of some of the homes and grounds.

The Prairie House

This home is split in half and will sleep 8 people. We stayed in the south part of the home. It was small but so darn cute.

The Main House

This home sleeps 12 people. It had a large table so we would feed the kids in the main house. We felt a little like the Duggers and couldn’t imagine feeding this many people on a daily basis.

The Rail Car

This little jewel sleeps one family. Clay and Josh really enjoyed sleeping in a real train.

This is Grayson he would stick his head inside the barn hoping someone would feed him. Yes, it worked every morning. He really loves carrots and apples. He also loves to be brushed.

It was great to see everyone at breakfast each morning. Making waffles with a farm animal waffle iron was the thing to do and the blueberry preserves on top with whip cream was so yummy!

This sign was just inside the door of the barn. I thought it was so cute.

These were a few of the adorable decorations in the barn. The chair and table were on the ceiling. It was the details everywhere that made the weekend even more special.

Circus Week

It is Circus Week in Mrs. Dashner's class and they made these cute hats. The girls were so proud of them. We loaned our circus tent for Circus Week and the girls were proud to tell everyone that the tent belonged to them. Mrs. Dashner changes the look of the classroom every week to two weeks. I snapped these pictures of the classroom when I went to the parents meeting. Mrs. Dashner says all the kids love the circus stuff.  She is an amazing teacher and I am so glad the girls are in her class.

David's Birthday Party

We were invited to David's Birthday Party and the girls were so excited to see Olivia and Bella. They went swimming for a little while but the highlight of the night was when they all put on a belly dancing skirt and shook their little booties. Little did they know, that Papaw was waiting with a gold dollar to reward them for their dancing abilities. They were all so surprised and loved every minute of the attention. They were all so darn cute. I love to see the girls show their personalities in front of others. It was a great fun and we met some great people.

Ladybugs Soccer

We had our first soccer game of this season. It was one hot morning. We have a new coach this season because our last coach didn't coach because his daughter would never play in a game. We have become good friends with them and really miss Coach David and his coaching. When I received the email from our new coach I was pleasantly surprised to see the name of an old friend. Mike and I use to play sand volleyball together and we had lost touch. It truly is such a small world.
The girls did great. Brooke scored two goals one for us and one for the other team. Brooke told us she was going to score 55 goals. Presley on the other hand will practice with Gary and run circles around him but when it comes to the game she seems shy and reserve in the game. We need to work on that with her to make her feel comfortable during practice and in games. I am so proud of the both of them. They have come a long way from their very first game when all they cared about was picking flowers.
