A Dog, Ponies and a Cat

It was such a beautiful Sunday and a great day for a Pony ride. We went to The Millhouser home to see the ponies, "Princess and Boo." The girls were in heaven. Brooke woke up this morning so excited to see "Ace." He is the best dog ever. He lets the kids crawl all over him and doesn't seem to mind one bit. Brooke is such a natural with the horses and is not afraid at all. She doesn't care that they are bigger than her she just handles them like they are dogs. So cute to see her handle them like she has done this all her life. Both girls fell in love with "Noodles," the cat. As you can see the cat loves to be held. My favorite picture is the one of Brooke holding Noodles the cat and has the reins of Boo while Prelsey is on the horse. Then Boo has to get a sniff of Noodles the cat. It did make me a little nervous at first but as you can see I still took the pictures without hesitation. The pictures are not the best because of the sun shining in their eyes and it was a little windy but I still love the whole experience and to see them so excited. I don't think I could have wiped the smiles off of any of their faces. It was such a special day and I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends and children. Thank you God for bringing these special people into my life.

Deck The Tables

Deck the Tables is a fundraiser to earn money for the Teachers Fund. It was a really fun day. The first two tables were my favorite tables and the blue table "Under The Sea" was the table where I ate my lunch. We happened to be the loudest table and for once I can say it wasn't my fault. I blame it on the host of our table, Kathy Reed. She is such a fun-loving person and a great table host. Thanks to Mimi for watching the girls so I could attend this wonderful event. Who knows, maybe next year I will decorate my own table. What a blessing to spend my day with such wonderful women.

Waiting for Mimi

Mimi was coming over to watch the girls and at 9:00am they were watching for her out the kitchen window. They had a long wait because she wasn't scheduled to come until 10:30am. It is so sweet to see them so excited about the little things.

Halloween 2010

We had such a great time trick or treating with Clay and Josh. Their whole neighborhood really gets into it.
Most of the neighbors have big halloween blow ups in their yards and everyone is outside. Channel 5 news was their and interviewed Rita and Alan and the thing that most interested me is that they pass out 800 pieces of candy every year. They only give each child one piece of candy. Wow! That is amazing and that is why we like to visit them on Halloween. The kids have a blast! They have just as much fun passing out candy as receiving candy. Presley loves to hand out candy and Brooke just likes to play with Clay and Josh. Rita and Alan always dress up and Gary and I decided next year we would have to dress up. Thanks to The Mathis family for another fun Halloween.

Tinkerbell Birthday Party

We had a Tinkerbell Birthday Party to attend on Sat. It was Rachel's party and the girls had a great time. Rachel is on their soccer team. Tinkerbell showed up at the party and amazement was on everyones faces. She took them outside and played some games. She then pulled out Blaze the bee and he was a little feisty. Then they pulled out  a parachute and everyone lit up when they saw the parachute. Blaze took a ride on the parachute with a little help from everyone. I think that was the highlight of the day. They were all smiling or laughing. At the end Tinkerbell had prizes for everyone and they were able to pick two. Presley picked candy for both items and Brooke picked a sucker and fake teeth. The fake teeth were a lot of fun for both girls. Brooke shared her teeth with Presley. Brooke is so loving and compassionate. We then headed to the back yard to hit a Tinkerbell pinata. Brooke got her picture with Tinkerbell but Presley wouldn't leave the line for the pinata long enough to get her picture taken, too funny. Cupcakes were served and Brooke asked me to save hers for later which I thought was so weird until I realized she had found the playroom and I couldn't get her to leave the playroom. Present opening is always a challenge with a bunch of four year olds and my two were right there with everyone else. We finally told all the kids to sit on the rug except the birthday girl but that didn't last long. It was a fantastic party and we were so glad we got to experience it all. The girls were pooped out. They took a nap as soon as we got home.

Book Character Day

It's book character day at school and Presley was a Candy Corn Witch and Brooke was a Woman of Marvel (Captain Americas Daughter). I know they really aren't book characters but that is what they wanted to be. The teachers commented on how both of the girls costumes fit their personality and it is so true. They picked their own costumes out. Brooke actually wanted to be Spiderman until she realized she had to wear a mask. She is my little tomboy through and through. I gave Presley one of my hallowween purses and we put little bags of candy corn to hand out to the kids. I had to do that because last minute I realized I forgot to get Presley a broom and she was not very happy but my alternative made her very happy. Of course, I had to find something for Woman of Marvel to hand out and came up with fruit snacks. They both were so thrilled to get to school so they could share their snack with everyone.
All the teachers on the hall dressed up from the book "The Very Hungry Catapillar." What a great and easy idea for all of them. I am so blessed to be able to witness all the fun they have at school.
